I Prayed have prayed
Lord, encourage our weary hearts. Show us how to pray and move forward during this time in our nation's history.

Unrelenting disappointment makes the heart sick (Prv 13:12 MSG). This past season has been months of unrelenting disappointment for many of us, especially those who have prayed, fasted, and interceded.  If not dealt with, disappointment will be the lens from which we view our future.  We cannot allow that to happen.

Why?

If we view our future, or even our day, through the lens of disappointment, all hope will fade.  We will develop an attitude of “why even try, look what happened last time.”

We must, instead, pray like we have never been disappointed.

This Scripture found in Proverbs doesn’t stop with disappointment. The Word of God goes on to say, “But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life.”  It does not say if the desire comes but when.

Our desire will come.  How do I know?  Because our prayers have been heard.  God is not a man that He should lie.  He said He would heal our land and He will heal our land.  We must stand firm.

I was praying about the season we are in when God spoke a Scripture to my heart.  He quietly, yet firmly, said, “You will know them by their fruits.”

I realize we normally apply this Scripture to knowing one another – but how does it apply to knowing God?  We will know Him by His fruit.

Let’s think about that for a moment…

  • He promised Abraham a son, when it was physically impossible. The fruit of God was that promised son.
  • He told Isaac to sow in a land of famine when it was impossible to reap. The fruit was a hundredfold return.
  • He told Moses that He had heard the cries of His people and sent Moses to deliver them. Against all odds, God’s people walked out of bondage with the spoil.

This, my friend, is God’s fruit.  Faithfulness to His word is His fruit.

This morning, He was reminding me that He can be trusted.  His fruit is good.  If He said it, He will do it.  Our part is simply to believe.

The devil uses disappointment as his tool.  It is his desire for us.  He wants us so discouraged we let go of the promise.  He speaks to us and says, “Why try?  Look how hard you prayed and fasted and see how things turned out.”  He is a liar. He only uses disappointment because he knows if we continue to pray and declare the word of the Living God, his time of ruling our nation is over.

We cannot allow disappointment to remain in our hearts.  We must cast it down.  We must pray like we have never been disappointed.

Disappointment may be the devil’s desire for us – but it is not God’s desire for us.  His desire is that we trust Him in the dark seasons.  That we will continue to believe His word, regardless of what we see around us.

My dear friends, we have gained massive momentum.  You may not see it.  You may not even believe it. Nevertheless, it is there.  More people prayed and fasted in 2020 than we have ever seen before.  Our bowls of prayer are filling up and they are about to tip over.  Do not stop the momentum.

Let’s continue to pray as we have been praying: For righteousness and justice to prevail. For healing for our nation. For abortion to be abolished.  For leaders of integrity in every elected office in our nation.  For schools that teach biblically.  For an awakening and a revival to be poured out in our land.

We are making progress.  We must not allow unrelenting disappointment to slow us down. We will see our desire for our nation – we will see GOD’s desire for this nation.

I really needed this right now. I am so disappointed in what is going on around our country and in my state. It goes on and on. God is faithful. I believe His word, thousands of years old, above the words being spoken today. I will be hopeful and watch how God will work in our world. It IS disappointment that is making my heart sick and I can change that. Thank you.

I am incredibly discouraged! However, God reminded me this morning how confused the Israelites were when the promise of deliverance resulted in “Make bricks without straw!” Deliverance came, but looked very different than anticipated.

The Lord gave me this same scripture before the election with the emphasis on “but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.” I really felt like he said that longings (promises) we’ve been standing on for years were going to come to pass.

Thank you Kim for the encouragement and focus on God, his character and his past history of faithfulness.

When I take time to get off my emotional roller coaster 🎢 of shock, disbelief, anger, frustration and hopelessness, I ask God to see from his view. What maybe the reason or blessing in this situation. We are to give thanks in all things. We learn by doing. Giving thanks when our feelings tell us we do not want to. Praying for those in the Capital. This is God’s desire and he tells us in his word.

For me this year has been learning technology. Since more interactions are on line. I signed-up as an alumni parent judge for an NCFCA online speech and debate tournament. This is a Christian communications association. I thought this can be an Intercessory activism to help with preparing our future leaders to engage the culture.

The debate was this evening. As I mention it was online. Team policy was the type of debate. My son did debate three years. Knowing how much time, energy, effort, dedication and courage it takes, I started preparing and praying for successful completion on Sunday.

Due to technical difficulties the first speech was dropped from the internet several times. Because of the time constraints due to having other speeches, this led to an automatic forfeit for the affirmative team.

As I waited for instructions I asked God what is the lesson?: Dealing with failure
and disappointment. Character development. I was blessed to see the poise, patience and grace these four young adults displayed and maintained throughout the troubleshooting process as well as when they received the disappointing news that their debate was cancelled. Yes, God is preparing the next generation and he is preparing us.

I am praying that more people will have their eyes and ears open to the truth about what is going on in our nation.

May this be an encouragement to keep praying, trusting in God’s goodness, faithfulness and mercy. Continue to seek his face for what he is doing. Blessings and God’s peace to all.

I was listening to a message by Derek Prince and he said something that was interesting. He said that we should make Proclamations and Declarations daily from Gods word which releases the power of God into a situation. So I put together some scriptures that we can declare daily concerning our present times.

Injustice
Isaiah 59:19
“So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.”
Proverbs 22: “Whoever sows injustice will reap calamity, and the rod of his fury will fail.
Proverbs 17:15 He who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous are both a like and an abomination to the Lord.
Psalm 43:1 Vindicate me, O God, and defend my cause against an ungodly people, from the deceitful and unjust man deliver me.
Job 5:8-16
“As for me, I would seek God, and to God would I commit my cause, who does great things and unsearchable, marvelous things without number: he gives rain on the earth and sends waters on the fields; he sets on high those who are lowly, and those who mourn are lifted to safety. He frustrates the devices of the crafty, so that their hands achieve no success. …
Zephaniah 3:5
The LORD within her is righteous; he does no injustice; every morning he shows forth his justice; each dawn he does not fail; but the unjust knows no shame.
Psalm 94:15-16
For justice will return to the righteous, and all the upright in heart will follow it. Who rises up for me against the wicked? Who stands up for me against evildoers?
Genesis 50:19-20
But Joseph said to them, “Do not fear, for am I in the place of God? As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.
James 5:4
Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, are crying out against you, and the cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of hosts.
Malachi 3:5
“Then I will draw near to you for judgment. I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, against the adulterers, against those who swear falsely, against those who oppress the hired worker in his wages, the widow and the fatherless, against those who thrust aside the sojourner, and do not fear me, says the LORD of hosts.
Psalm 33:5
He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the steadfast love of the LORD.
Psalm 171:18-50
A Prayer of David. Hear a just cause, O LORD; attend to my cry! Give ear to my prayer from lips free of deceit! From your presence let my vindication come! Let your eyes behold the right! You have tried my heart, you have visited me by night, you have tested me, and you will find nothing; I have purposed that my mouth will not transgress. With regard to the works of man, by the word of your lips I have avoided the ways of the violent. My steps have held fast to your paths; my feet have not slipped. …
Romans 1:18
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness.

Be blessed

I have been waiting to see what God will do. But I no longer know what to pray. It has all been said by myself and millions of my sisters and brothers in the Lord. Is it now time for praise instead of petition? I welcome your thoughts on this. I know not what to do now. I believe. I look, I hope, But is it praising time in the nation now, instead of petition time? I don’t know.

“A righteous man falls, but rises seven times.”
I confess my disappointment, my anger, after praying and fasting with perhaps thousands of intercessors concerning the fraudulent elections, and then seeing Joe Biden inaugurated as president.
My heart is grieved over these events, but I MUST move forward! I MUST get back in the “fight” for the USA. God is still a God of truth, justice, love, & holiness. His ways are higher than my ways. I MUST trust Him no matter the storms that rage around me. He says, It is I, be not afraid. Because of His word, His spirit, I will march on, I will pray on! Let’s together march and pray on! We are the Church Triumphant!! Alive and well.
Amen!

God takes me back to my old “stand by” scripture…1 Sam 30, verses 1-7. David’s men were wanting to stone him for all the loss of family, goods, etc. at Ziklag while they were off fighting another battle. Verse 6…”And David was greatly distressed; for the men spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God”.

So many times in the course of my life I find our precious Lord drawing me back to Him with that verse “encourage yourself in the Lord”… it’s those times when I RUN to Him and find myself under the shadow of His wings. It’s not that I don’t get down or depressed, but Holy Spirit calls me back with that verse and I find His heart, my joy, and the peace that He has all things in His hands. That is what I stand by!

Father God, I hold up your people who may be down and discouraged. Your joy is our strength and You have not diminished in joy at all. Your heart is for us and not against us, your ways are higher, your thoughts higher. Your plan is not thwarted and will come forth in your way and your time. While we cannot “see” how this will all turn out, we do know You hold the world in your hands so we ask You to draw us, strengthen us as we come before your Face, seeking You as Lord and God first, and above all. In Jesus nameI pray, amen.

Many will be tempted to put their heads in the sand and look the other way its a trap lets surrender all our weaknesses and strengths to the Head of the (his) church he will deal with the ungodly in his time and plan this is our time

And having a readiness to revenge all disobedience……..”

Dear Heavenly Father, the events of the past year have brought me closer to you than I have been in decades, and I thank you for that. I know that Your will shall ultimately be done. Nevertheless, I am but a man, and confess I am wrestling with sadness and anger over the continued march of evil in our land. God forgive me for my weaknesses in this dark time. I do let things get to me and I have been drinking far too much as a result. Lord please help me to find the strength to overcome these negative feelings and behaviors. I have no doubt millions of others are going through the same feelings and behaviors, and I believe we are under an attack that is just as much spiritual as it is political or ideological. Help us all to deal with this better, and let us confront evil from a position of strength and confidence. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Heavenly Father, please place within N.C.D. an increased hunger and thirst for righteousness that can only be satisfied by Your Word and Your Presence. Put an unexplained, incredible distaste for drinking within his person. May every part of his being reach out to You instead of a drink, finding in You in great measures and abundance of comfort, grace, peace and joy, but being totally revolted by any counterfeit comfort. When he is wrestling with despair and grief, train his eyes upward to Yourself and not downward into a glass, move his thoughts to You and not to the waves around, and help his heart rejoice in God, his Savior. May this be true for N.C.D. and for each one of us as we seek to keep our eyes on You, our ears attuned to Your voice, our hearts open to receive what You are sending our way and our wills committed and determined to obey Your Word, Your instruction and the leading of Your Holy Spirit. In You, Lord, is true light and life. Help us, in our weakness, remember this at all times. Amen.

N.C.D. thank you for your honesty. At times I have had to say – I’d rather have Jesus & that would head me in a different direction. This goes for many things in life. None of us are your judge – I had a dad who drank excessively,& a husband also who beat me for over 8 yrs. when he came home drunk. We have all come short of God’s glory, but His arms are always open when we come to Him in true repentance. You are in my prayers to be an over-comer for He will strengthen you & then you will be able to help others wherein you’ve been helped. May God’s face shine upon you for He sees your heart. Blessings!

Thank you so much Mary. Fortunately, I have never been what people call a “mean drunk,” but I do think that when I drink excessively to deal with my anger and sadness over the direction our country is going, it disappoints those who love me, sets a bad example, and possibly even throws up a barrier between myself and the Holy Spirit. I am trying to turn this around and just admitting it helps. I am pretty sure this is not how God wants me or anyone to deal with this. Despite all this, for what it is worth, I really do feel like I have grown closer to God over the last year than I have been in decades and I am going to continue the journey.

During this time I think that if we are serious with God we have grown closer than ever to Him, including me. That doesn’t mean we are perfect; won’t be till we get to heaven.
My suggestions that others will be helped by what you have or are going through is from personal experiences. Being an older person I have shared with young people for 40 yrs. in places at one time I would not have gone to to witness. Sure there are times that one would wonder if they are wasting their time, but that’s in God’s hands not mine. I love young people & they know it. I sense that you love God & He is smiling down on you for you put your trust in Him. Again, my blessings!

We need to listen to Paul’s words to the Philippians while he was in prison, and rejoice in the Lord, be thankful, don’t be anxious, continue to make our requests known, so we can have peace. Cast down disappointment and discouragement! He is a good Father and friend. He is not finished. He is faithful and true!!!

Thank you, Kim, for encouraging us. Disappointment has knocked at my door but I have refused to open it. We have a hope and His name is Jesus. He will not let us be put to shame.

Father God, continue to wake up the masses to the evil that has encroached and taken dominion on your territory. This nation belongs to You and You have given us the keys to the Kingdom to retrieve it back from the hand of the enemy. Since we do not war against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of wickedness in this dark world, therefore help us to love one another and pray as we ought and declare Your Truth. We need not fear evil for You have promised to be with us.
We praise You for we know that in Christ we have the victory.
In Jesus name,
Amen

I want to encourage all prayer warriors and Interscessors to ask the Holy Spirit to put a love for those in power in our hearts. Only when we pray out of true love and compassion can we pray aligned with our Creator. Remember, Jesus died for President Biden, Leader Pelosi and Leader Schumer too. Before we came to know Jesus, we too were on a road to eternal hell.

The Word says love is powerful and conquers all. We may not like what these people represent or their evil actions, but seeing them with the loving eyes as the Father does will help us to saturate them with prayer. Our prayers may be the very weapon that breaks the bondage and curses that are on them. 2 Peter 3:9 says that it is His desire that none should perish. Lord, we lift every government leader in the White House, Congress, and Supreme Court to You. In the mighty name of Jesus, we ask that You block the forces of evil that have infiltrated their souls. Deliver them from the bondage of greed, power, witchcraft and the Jezebel spirit. Open their eyes and ears to Your love and truth. Convict their hearts and bring them out of darkness and into Your light. You are mighty to save!

Almost everyday we hear of another abortion law one the first day that includes the entire world which we will fund. This is payment to their god for given them this election. It’s so obvious. Satan wants those children He wants the innocent sacrifice. These people are blood thirsty and they can’t even see who their real leader is. Jesus let us see it. All of us. Help us to unveil this evil Amen
