I Prayed have prayed
Lord, this year we pray that we would consider our cause much larger than just an election, but a legacy worth fighting for.
Reading Time: 4 minutes

Given current events, it is obvious we are in for a long stretch of war this coming year. But, this will not be a war of political parties as much as a war of spiritual powers in the high places of our nation. It is a war of values, principles, and spiritual realities that can only be discerned and understood by the Spirit. It is a war that will test our faith, stretch our perseverance, and challenge our unity.

Once someone sees the demonic principalities at work behind the scenes, it isn’t difficult to diagnose the problem. One would have to be almost blind to miss the demonic forces influencing the impeachment proceedings that have been fueled by the rebellion and insurrection of some troubled minds. The twisted tales and poisonous accusations against this president is tangible. For those who see by the Spirit, it is as if watching “This Present Darkness” in 3D technicolor.

The challenge comes when we try to treat the problem. Without qualified leadership, clarity of vision, and a unified front, our proclamations and decrees will yield little fruit long-term. We must begin looking further down the road and consider how we might maintain the victory we are praying for and steward the land God wants to give us. We must see these battles as foundational to our future as the Body of Christ and not just some temporary reprieve for our national government.

The unfortunate reality is that most people don’t take ownership in government affairs until it gets personal. It’s only when we start losing our free speech, our guns, and our children’s future’s that we begin to sit up and take notice. It’s only when the legislation that is being passed behind closed doors comes to our own front doors, that we start to realize we need to pay attention and get involved.

Yes, we must pray. Yes, we must stand in the gap and start speaking up about these issues that are core to our faith and critical to our witness. But, we must also begin thinking about our own responsibility in leading the way to reformation and transformation. We, the rising Ekklesia of God, are the ones who are supposed to be demonstrating godly rule, modeling healthy relationships, and yielding tangible results that would cause the world to come to us for answers. This nation is in desperate need of some good leadership, and God’s people are supposed to be at the forefront.

It shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established as the highest of the mountains, and shall be lifted up above the hills; and all the nations shall flow to it, and many peoples shall come, and say: “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob, that he may teach us his ways and that we may walk in his paths.” (Isaiah 2:2-3 ESV)

Heaven is inviting us this year to establish a place of leadership from this mountain that will cause all other mountains to surrender to the presence and power of Almighty God, especially the mountain of government. It is only from the Mountain of the Lord that legitimate authority is granted and righteous rule is rendered. It is only from this place of prayer, worship, and communion with the Spirit that the Church will have the clarity, unity, and power to defeat the principalities that war against the purposes of God. It is only from this place that we can speak with ONE VOICE to a world in chaos.

What does this mean? How do we get there? We must COME UP HIGHER in order to overcome our human understandings, personal perspectives, and divisive differences. We must SPIRITUALLY DISCERN the motives of men and the agendas of devils. We must AGREE ON THE ESSENTIALS of our faith in order to advance in formation. And we must SPEAK UP concerning the issues facing our culture. When we learn to nurture this spiritual reality it will yield tangible results. It is from the Mountain of the Lord where the fellowship of the Spirit can mold our hearts together as one and empower us with supernatural insight and foresight to confront the schemes of hell.

What we are fighting for is much bigger than a president and much stronger than a political party. We are fighting for is a Truth that is eternal and a Kingdom that cannot be shaken. I pray we are faithful in our commission and learn to rule from this Mountain that no other power can challenge and no principality can defeat.

This year I am praying that pastors would rise up to champion the cause on behalf of those they lead. I am praying that the doubters and haters would have a revelation of the Spirit to see what their flesh denies. I am praying that those in the high offices of our land would encounter the fear of the Lord to keep their walk and talk in check. And I am praying that we would consider our cause much larger than just an election, but a legacy worth fighting for.

Father,
The very future of our nation is at stake. The very souls of our people are at stake. The very lives of babies are at stake. The respect and care for the elderly is at stake. The protection for the handicapped is at stake. The true family unit is at stake. Our way of life- to live free and able to safely go about in our communities is at stake. Lord- the battle is immense. There is terror on every side. It is like the Second movie of The Lord of the Rings. Wave after wave of the enemy attacking every vestige of goodness. But you have not given us a spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind. You have given us the weapons with which we are to fight.And the understanding of the foe we fight. “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12.
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9.
“The Lord sits enthroned over the flood;
the Lord is enthroned as King forever.
The Lord gives strength to his people;
the Lord blesses his people with peace.” Psalm 29:10-11
All glory to your Name!

Lord, bless Wanda for her words of wisdom. Draw close to her and fill her with Your Spirit.
Lord I lift all intercessors up to You and ask that as we move forward in the “doing phase” this year You teach us how to speak out and communicate with the lost. Give us wisdom to not only pray about the evil forces, but also how to move in the gifts of Your Spirit. I pray You pour our Your Spirit abundantly on all of us. Teach us how to hear Your voice or nudgings or visions or whatever method You use to connect with us. Make us effective when we see the truth and attempt to communicate it to the lost. Give us words of knowledge and wisdom with laser like accuracy that breaks through the demonic strongholds that hold people in chains. Most of all, Lord, teach us how to love others as You love us. For love covers a multitude of sins and is necessary for Your plans to succeed.
In my experience over the years dealing with spiritual warfare, without the full power of the Holy Spirit guiding and leading, it’s like trying to punch out or a large paper bag. I get nowhere and exhausted pretty quickly. I have also found that for me that as God reveals my sins and I am obedient to confess them and by faith receive forgiveness, it’s like it clears out more space in me for the Spirit to fill and I get more revelation and more love for others. I begin to see as God sees rather than the way my flesh sees. So dear Lord, teach us how to enter into that quiet place with You, where we become transformed more into Your character. Change our hearts so the Spirit can guide us and direct our paths.
I also want to pray for everyone who are struggling with physical issues that sometimes gets us down and discouraged. Let us all rejoice in all things and praise God for every circumstance we find our selves in. For the ways of God are contrary to the ways of man. Teach us dear Lord so we may be pulled out of the pit we find ourselves in. Break the patterns of behavior that keep us there and may we lift up our eyes to God rather than focus on the problem and watch Him lift us up and heal us.

Amen! Here is something to ponder- Pelosi’s salary is $193,400 but yet she is worth $196 million!!! And the same Democrats who voted to penalize citizens if they did not buy insurance now offer that very insurance FREE to illegals. But, all you need to do is visit a town like mine and watch the legal elderly citizens who CANNOT afford their medicines have to leave a pharmacy without needed medication while illegals walk up to the pharmacy counter and get their medicines for free.

Oh my God how great you are and How Great Is Your Love that you would care to reveal to your people the reality of what our future must be. We give you thanks for Pulling the blinders off our spiritual eyes. We knew there was more ahead than just an election. This has brought wonderful clarity! Father we pray for a unification of your body in prayer and cooperation, with involvement in government. Let us be purposeful in our Pursuit of your will being done as it is in heaven . Now Open the Eyes of our hearts. Teach us your ways that we may walk in your truth regarding our land and our nation in all of its aspects. We love you, and thank you, Father. We pray this in Jesus’ holy name. So let it be done!

Oh my, those words jerked the fig leafs off. We’re hiding instead of fighting. Eating instead of, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it.” (Genesis 1:28 NLT)

Thanks for blowing the trumpet, sounding the alarm. Well done, watchman.

Dear Lord, give us ears to hear and a heart to set our hands and feet to action.

Amen! We prophesy unity to the Body of Christ! We decree and declare a year of RETURNING to Him, in intimacy, with a holy fear, to move as He moves, to do what He leads us to do.
Draw us, draw us, Lord, to deeper places of surrender to Your ways, Your Kingdom plans and purposes, that we might arise in Your power, without blemish, spot, or wrinkle, to overtake the high places with You. We decree a shattering of the enemy who seeks to devour us and our children, and a return to worship that renders the enemy powerless, impotent, and fleeing. As in the days of old, for Your honor, Your glory, Your Kingdom come, we say “Do it again!” In our day.
We want to bring to you every soul You’ve died for, every victory You want us to have, here, and across the earth!
You alone are worthy!
