Disclaimer… I tell a truth without condemnation and damnation; thus… make sure you read it all, understand it all, before you go out and tell it all.
Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., moved about as a self-proclaimed and identified black man in the image that God created him to be. His legacy has allowed him to achieve the highest recognition of honor in this nation. His status as a minister, with a federal holiday and a national monument in his honor is no coincidence. So, let us examine, how did he get here?
Let us start from the beginning… Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., A Great Black Life That Matters:
Who was his God? Who was his Lord and Savior? (Pause here to see if you have the same one because not all Americans serve this same God). If the God of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., who being black, was good enough for him to serve and follow the divinity blueprint of love and unity, why not take a look at his God, and what His 66 books say about His creation and how from God’s view, He regards all lives. Perhaps in this pandemic of multiple proportions, if we turn our eyes to this God, the blueprint of God’s Holy Word, we would more greatly understand if Rev. King were here today.
And if he were:
- How would he see our America?
- What would he say to us now?
- What would he do in this generation?
- How would he pray differently?
Now… WHO AM I? I am a man of color, Black, Negro, Afro-American, African American, Colored and have been one of these all my life. I grew up in poverty in the Arkansas Delta in the small town of Dumas, where I still pastor a flock and live.
For 30 years, I have worked diligently to honor, and differentiate, the biblical rights leader Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. from just his civil rights persona. I produced the first three years of the MLK federal holiday events in Memphis, Tennessee, including the Opening Ceremony of The National Civil Rights Museum.
In addition, The College of Aspiring Artists, which I founded, has held multiple events on the National Mall at the MLK Memorial in D.C., including MLK50 on April 3-4, 2018. That year, the Mayor of Washington D.C. requested to be a part of our event. We granted her permission.
What does all this mean? Mostly, it has taught me what it means to give honor to a man of God, a man of color, a black man as he described himself, and what it looks like when we as blacks ‘do not’ give honor or regards to black lives mattering along the way. This is damnable to the detriment of so many.
So listen to me when I say this and let me tell it like it is:
To all persons who say, “Black Lives Matter,” the most genuine and authentic question is simply, WHEN? THIS is the question that must be answered, if the God of the Bible, the God of Rev. Dr. MLK and truth is to be included in this discussion by people who say they love God and His Word.
What I know is that I am grateful to know how God made man(kind) in His image. I am grateful that He made all of us different, unique, and diverse on purpose, BUT NOT to be DIVIDED. And being divided as blacks and as people of God is what we have done over the past 200 years, through religion, race, and politics. No, not everyone meant for this to be, but this is what our ‘manmade’ stuff has turned out. This is how and why movements that get abbreviated insights produce abbreviated results, and ultimately a ‘what’s not made in God’s image’ representation.
The expanded point here regarding #blacklivesmatter is that I have seen from the small community stages to the larger stages when black people are doing the greatest of evil to and among ourselves.
Oh… does this not matter? Is there a Black Elephant here in the room?
Yes, I have seen white oppression and discrimination over my lifetime. It is still present today. But I have also seen black people grant access and open doors for them to come in and do some of the greatest damage. This #blacklivesmatter movement fits in a category in what I call ‘Good Intentions and Bad Ideas.’ Now, this must always move from ‘good intentions and bad ideas’ to good intentions and God Ideas. This, in any moment or movement, is a major dysfunction, and should be removed from years of disconnect to the fountain of wisdom and justice for all.
Let’s all who serve as BLM movement leaders (and this is not the same as the #BLM which you can research on your own) and those who come alongside in some part or another, commit to doing a vital checkup before any furtherance and engagement. Ask these questions (this group) and all of us who are black:
- Why are we killing each other, every day? Does this matter?
- Why when we see and know someone who is black hurting and in distress, trying to do something good, we look the other way? Does this matter? I mean when we blacks are right there looking at it, and sometimes urging failure or damnation to occur along the way, does it matter?
- Why do we put hate on each other, every day and speak death into situations instead of life? Does this matter?
- Why is it that someone must die (a natural death) before people join an effort that the individual has clearly demonstrated is a true labor of love and sacrifice to build? Does this matter?
- Why do we allow envy, jealousy, and pride to keep us from honoring and supporting one another? Does this matter?
- Why is it that many blacks who have achieved wealth choose not to go back to their communities to make a difference (unless tragedy or accolades of what they are doing comes into play?) Does this matter?
Before you/we say… “NO” it don’t matter, perhaps we would be wise to answer these questions honestly on our way to the exit lanes of Dysfunction Junction and merge onto Let’s Get Our Minds Right with God Boulevard, from every community which we live.
All lives matter, all lives have dignity, but all lives are not lived dignified.
Now, ‘WHEN”, yes… when, we who are first, members of the BOC (Body of Christ) can be true to who we are in God and next… when black people start respecting black people ‘all the time’ and stop being bought and sold in 2020, it will force others to put some love and honor on all who are black. And furthermore, this will bring forth a greater respect for all lives to come into the reality that ALL LIVES MATTER.
So, WHEN do BlackLivesMatter? Simple. All the time is the only answer. Be true to yourself and to others and your life’s purpose, value, and dignity will speak for you and/or for the group of persons before you. Respect is more greatly given when respect is established from person to person, closing a gap in dire need of closing.
When this is done and when we get it right with the questions poised here, there is no need to say #BLM. This DEMONSTRATION of purpose, honor, and dignity for all lives brings the remedy that supersedes and overrides the protests that only bring fake peace and a false sense of security. This is the proactive cure that has been missing. People will see when the reason of your life is pure and respect it. Conversely, when they do not see this, they may, and most often they will, ‘disrespect’ it.
Let us override the fake peace, false security and bogus solutions that have not produced good fruit in the last fifty-three years and instead plant seeds of dignity, honor, and love in every place and in every life.
So be true to who God created you to be. Set an example as a new creation operating in His Spirit with good fruits of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control. AT ALL TIMES FOR ALL PEOPLE. His unseen Spirit has no color. He is love. Love has no color.
When this gap is closed, and it will, that day will be marked by true love, absent any hypocrisy. Then, our nation will see from God’s view what it means to love Him and to love our neighbors as we love ourselves.
Rev. Dr. King’s legacy of understanding the God of all creation and his fight to speak truth with love and the sacrifice and ultimate price of laying down his life must not be overlooked. Not only must we see him as a civil rights leader bent on equality, but also understand him, and his message, through the God he served. The God of Rev. Dr. MLK, Jr., is the same God whose Word is as true today as it was in the beginning of time. In the words of Rev. King, ‘we must learn to live together as brothers, or we will perish together as fools.’

Have you really researched Black Lives Matter, the website? I suggest you do it before you say anything more about it. Follow the money.
BLM like ANTIFA have oxymoron meanings. Black lives don’t matter to BLM & anti-fascists are fascists in ANTIFA in the true sense. God’s been warning us for thousands of yrs. Now it’s hitting home more & we don’t like it. Father of grace, mercy, peace & love may U draw certain ones from these groups to U as only U can, who truly need Your loving arms around them. The blacks need to do their history and see that the Democratic party was never on their side. Wanting to keep them in oppression and dependent on the Govt. Why would blacks EVER want to vote for the Democratic party if they knew about the history of that, which is absolutely true. And now the Democrats are still not on their side, all they care about is getting votes.
Good question. I also wonder why blacks vote Democrat when it was and still is, the Democrat party what wants to keep them in oppression and slavery and wanting to keep them dependent on the Government. There is a bleak history of the Democratic party desiring to keep blacks in oppression. That is just plain wrong!
Great article, but very important questions not addressed are:
When do black babies lives matter?
Why does #BLM support Planned Parenthood?
Why don’t blacks stop the killing of their black babies 3 times more often than white babies?
Why do blacks vote primarily Democrat when the Democrat platform is abortion at any stage, and their answer to “helping” blacks is to eradicate generations?
Black lives do indeed matter and are prescious, as are all lives. The organization Black Lives Matter is communist and is the organizer of much burning and looting and lawless activity.
In Acts 17:26 God tells us that “And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;”
We are all made in God’s image. I pray that one day, we will all be “Children of God.” Those who are children of staten, will have the scales removed from their eyes. Most people look with their eyes; rarely do we have people who “see with their eyes.”
Lord let our brothers and sisters eyes be open to truth. If we all can adhere to the power of the word of God, and want to see this different light. Then are we will be able to move forward as the body of Christ. Thank you for the heartfelt word of truth.

Dr. Martin Luther King knew that the answer to every problem in this world is
Jesus. He walked the road Jesus walked. Like Jesus, he constantly forgave FORGAVE those who discriminated against him. As true followers of Jesus, surrendered to His Lordship, we too can FORGIVE. Forgiveness is not earned, it is freely given. Freely we have received forgiveness from Jesus freely we can give. Here’s why we MUST forgive: if we don’t give forgiveness we don’t receive it. (Matthew 6:14-15). This is so crucial because it is only through forgiveness that we can be set free from the prison of bitterness that produces vengeance, malice, anger, hatred and the like. It’s the worst prison there is on earth. (Matthew 18:21-35). There is no other way for any human being to be free. No outward circumstance sets our hearts free. I have fought this great struggle myself many times and know that only in Christ can I forgive and be set free. I’ve gone through circumstances where I have had to die daily like the Apostle Paul in order to forgive. And I know that only when I go to the Cross and die to my perceived rights that the power of His Cross enables me to forgive. I feed and help people in refugee camps who have hearts set free by the power of the Cross to forgive and they are full of joy. I also know people who live in luxury who will not go to the Cross, lay down their perceived rights, and receive the power to forgive. They live in terrible bondage. Our freedom must first start on the inside with our hearts being set free and then it can be displayed like Jesus did through love. Our true enemy (not of flesh and blood) knows this and works hard to make sure we don’t forgive. That was the secret and success of our beloved Dr. Martin Luther King. He was surrendered to Jesus.

In today’s world Truth is “blowing in the wind”. We need ears to “Hear the Voice of GOD, and, we need spiritual leaders willing to lay down their lives, so that none may perish, warning the world that God’s justice is real.
Personal ambitions, while ignoring GOD’WORD, and religious indifference, has consequences…eternal consequences. Bible Prophets refused to be silent about the Fear of the LORD. Few listened.
Deciding to honor GOD by joining THE CLEANSE Bible reading October 18 is the right direction back home to GOD.
His WORD is LIFE to your Spirit. As you hunger for food for your body, how much more does your Spirit need the Bread of Life… How much more do we need the Love of GOD in our lives, in our families, in our worship and through out our Nation.
JUST GOD!
We need FOCUS…a FOCUS on the goodness and mercy of the GOD of the BIBLE. His love is our security. His banner over us is LOVE.
Can we trust the
GOD who answers these four questions:
1. ORIGIN: Where do I come from? Am I created in God’s image?
2. MEANING:What does Life mean? Who am I?
3. MORALITY: How do I differentiate between good and evil? and,
4. DESTINY: What happens to humans when we are no longer on
earth.
The greatest struggle is the craving of the human heart for Love.
Love first comes from GOD, and is poured out “in your relationship” with Him, so you can love yourself and others.
The Lord of this world, Satan, has deceived so many. His goal is to be worshipped. Satan only creates confusion and chaos in our minds and in this world with so much division, not Life. He gets you caught in his world of judgment of good and bad with no reference point, fueled by hatred and death, not Love. In his world lives don’t matter. He gets Black People to turn on each other, to think less of themselves and to kill more babies than any other race. Satan’s eugenics, is a reality, and he gets you to do his bidding. In the past he controlled many with the corrupt Slave Bible, yet today the Smithsonian Museum of African American History and Cuture is full of successes of African Americans.
All lives matter to GOD. Rev Dr Martin Luther King,Jr’s said, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”

I totally agree with the statement that all lives matters and I am not apart of BLM organization. I don’t believe in it’s views, however, the reason that I say black lives matter is because black lives have been treated as dirt and useless. We were taught to hate each other and as believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, we arenow called to love one another. This is not an option, it is a command. The church of Jesus Christ must understand the word equality and there is only one race and that is human race. Let’s obey God’s word to love each other regardless of your status in life. I understand the world doesn’t understand this, but the body of Christ knows the truth and as the world see the body of Christ walking in love and equality they will know that there is a difference.

Everyone speaking from your heart and concern for God’s people, everywhere is the key to a great union and ONENESS that will please God. Let me say that the disclaimer is not to be overlooked. This is important and (plus a soft requirement) will help bring the greatest clarity and route to remedy.
The love and truth message that ‘All Lives Matter’ is from the Kingdom View. God always requires His people…all of us to ‘humble ourselves’ and turn from ‘our’ wicked ways prior to Him hearing from heaven, forgiving our sins and healing our land. Thus we all must be accountable.
Rev. Dr. MLK put his life on the line, everyday. This example of a Black life matters and so was the God whom he served. This is noteworthy in ways that this space does not afford me to detail.
The questions ‘why’ are to provoke thought. The questions ‘does it matter’ requires each individual to search themselves and hear from God to bring about accountable resolutions.
Finally, it is my sincere desire to reply to every comment during the course of this week. Your prayers and our prayers for this and all the concerns of our day, can and will be answered by God.

Our HEARTS are ALL the same color, and truth be told, Jesus coloring is probably closer to yours than to mine. We don’t love Him because of or inspite of his skin color, but because He loved us FIRST…. let LOVE for one another be our heart-aim.
I agree with Rev. Hunt’s letter to a point. God must always be the center as we all strive for unity. All the “Whys” he asked can still be brought back to a broken people. Many people say that you can’t keep blaming the past, but a broken past makes for a broken present and ultimately a broken future if a broken people never get mended. A broken people can’t seem to get mended if the source as a whole who broke them never acknowledges what was done to get people broken. There has been very little healing as a whole or even individually. We as a human race will stay stuck right where we are, (divided) until people “wake up” on both if not all sides to the issues that NEED to be dealt with. “Speaking of an elephant in the room,” I tell you that issues haven’t begun to be dealt with even among Black people ourselves. We have a “bad taste in our mouths from centuries of abuse that have been heap upon us. So much so that Black people as a whole have been traumatize enough to pass down from generation to generation the negative repercussions that effected them in the past. Things are still happening today that are absolutely mirroring the past. Now suddenly we must snap out of it as if there would be no memory of it. We weren’t built that way. If there is no discussion, no safe spaces for civilized outlets then you will get what we are seeing today. Where do we begin? How do we begin? (At the foot of the cross first) Then God/Jesus will guide us through as we surrender our will for His.
I absolutely think it is wrong to tear down, burn up, ruin what is not yours or yours etc., but people tend to act or react out of what they know, what they have experienced, their anger, their fears etc. If what people have experienced is mostly negative then more than likely, their reactions will be negative. Their attitudes will be negative and they won’t care about what happens to things that they destroy. If people don’t have a stake or investment in something then what they have been kept out of or kept from won’t matter to them. Some of the evidence is shown through many of the riots. People will take their negativity, anger, hurt etc. out on people they are closest to in proximity and relationally just to project their feelings of despair on to something, anything because they don’t know what else to do. People who have been invisible for 400 years will do anything to become visible even if it is destructive. Does it make it right? No, but it may be deemed necessary in their eyes.
I honestly believe that if Black people would have started on even ground with the rest of the world, there would not be much need for riots, negative attitudes towards each other, broken homes, drug and alcohol use and abuse etc. especially because of lack of a stable home, lack of equal opportunities, and lack of a solid education. There is a reason for every action regardless of if it is sinful or not. We all sin because we are sinners. That’s not an excuse; it’s a fact. Ultimately it all falls under Ephesians 6:12 “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” For those who know Christ, we all must “put on the full armor of God.” So, NO life matters until BLACK lives matter (Too) so that ALL lives really matter. Regardless of what human beings say, Christ went to that cross because every single life matters to Him even if some people don’t thing so. God is no respecter of men, so no one person is above another even if they think they are. “Come Lord Jesus Come!” But until then, we have much work to do as we are powered by the Holy Spirit.

The message here in my article states that ‘Black Lives Matter all the time’ and emphatically clear that all lives matter at all times. My comments (here in the comment section above) aim to speak more precisely to the ‘why’s and the ‘does it matter’ perspectives that you referenced.
If I could illustrate, I would say boldly that based on Rev. Dr. King and his demonstrative actions to follow the blueprint of true agape, he challenged blacks to live with dignity and be proud of who we are as God created us in His image. In 2020, we must see the strength of attainment of God’s favor on him and all blacks and not allow ourselves or anyone to dilute, reduce or omit our value in the Body of Christ and the Kingdom of God, but we must do it first among ourselves. This is the accountability test that has been passed before and we must pass it again. Pointing to The God of Rev. Dr. MLK-Jr. has many values that are unrefutably. Can blacks see it? Can people of faith see it? If and when we do, we will perhaps require ourselves to be included in the ‘if my people’ called by God’s name and will ‘humble ourselves’ and seek God’s face and turn from ‘our wicked ways,” THEN, (and then and when only) will God will hear from Heaven forgive ‘our’ sins and heal OUR land. My prayer is that we will by any and all means necessary come together as one as in St. John 17.

Thanks Vicki for telling the whole truth! Rev.Hunt and IFA only told half of it. There is a spiritual and human side to Black Americans journey in America. And the white power structure,including evangelicals, need to own, repent and pay reparations for the centuries of damage done to black people. That was Dr.King’s true message!He spoke about the “promissory note that America owes black people. I recommend Rev. Hunt read that speech.( No response needed from Rev.Hunt. I have heard enough)
As a Canadian Christian ( yes there are many but fewer) I loved this Pastors insight and Godly wisdom. If only thousands of Pastors all over the U.S and Canada would heartily endorse this healthy, godly and transforming view of MLK and the truth that all lives matter!

The sweet innocent precious children that have suffered from this evil. If I cut my finger I won’t bleed white blood, if an oriental cuts their finger, they won’t bleed yellow blood, if you cut your finger our Blood will come out the same shade of red. In Jesus Christ we have the same DNA and I’m not ashamed to call you my brother [or give you a hug if we were near each other]. God Bless you as you go forth speaking the truth.

Satan has filled this world with his evil lies and divisiveness to keep things stirred up… I choose to see the good in people and they can prove me wrong or not. We need to learn how to talk to one another again and see the good in each other. btw… my boss let me hire a lady to work with me in our office.. I hired a black woman. She led me to the Lord and I’m eternally blessed ! She is my true sister in Christ. I’ll be praying for you A.G., that God lets you see more of the good in people. Oh that your comments would be heard around the world. All lives matter. Black lives matter. My life matters and I am a white person. In this world today it is easy to lump a group together as one. All black peoples, all white peoples, all Asian people. But the truth is we are all made in His image. I struggle sometimes to see individuals apart from the group. Praying for open eyes to see the light within another.
Love one another. His Holy Spirit has no color.
I pray your voice will be heard by many and the Lord will be glorified. Thank you and may much fruit come of this.

I often observe signs that state Black Lives Matter in the neighborhood and reflect that the God I serve is Love and those who love know God. It should become a natural part of our lives if we truly love God and want others to see a reflection of His Love through us. To truly love as Jesus instructs, takes a willingness to loss ones life, to gain His. May we humble ourselves before Him and walk as He has taught.
I do not look at a person as part of colored/ethnic group. I look at character. Who are they as a person? I am learning to remind myself that even if they are of ignoble character, they were still created by Father and still carry a God-created purpose. Our strongest weapon, then, is prayer!
Father, thank you for those who are willing to speak the tough words and lead others to a clearer understanding of who you are and who they are. That we need to speak unity over the church and over our communities. That love for each other would decimate the hate and anger spoken against others. Father, pour out your Spirit and your Shalom over this nation. Place in people’s hearts a genuine love and care for each other. Please reveal to those who need it most Your love for them and instill in them the purpose You created for them. Give them a vision that brings hope and not division. Father, heal this land and let your church ignite that healing. In Yeshua’s mighty name, Amen.
