Sen. Ben Sasse (R-NE) led a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing this week on the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act.
“Democrats are proving to be completely out of step with their base on abortion, and they are feeling it,” said Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) President Marjorie Dannenfelser in a statement sent to Breitbart News. “It’s time they see that consensus is necessary to move forward on this debate in a way that honors American opinion.”
Recent polling shows that most Americans favor abortion restrictions, even those who identify as “pro-choice.”
In February 2019, SBA List sponsored a poll conducted by McLaughlin & Associates, that found 77 percent of Americans support legislation that would ensure babies who survive abortion would be administered the same medical treatment as would any infant born prematurely at the same age.
That outcome included 75 percent of independent voters and 70 percent of Democrats.
A Marist poll released in January found seven in ten Americans, including 47 percent of those who identify as “pro-choice,” want significant restrictions placed on abortion.
In addition, the poll found over three in four of those Americans who say they are pro-choice (78 percent) or Democrat (76 percent) say state laws can protect both mothers and their unborn babies.
The poll also found that 55 percent of Americans want to ban abortion after 20 weeks of pregnancy, when evidence has shown unborn babies can feel pain as they are being terminated.
“These compassionate, common-ground bills would have become law long ago, were it not for extremist Democrats beholden to the radical abortion lobby,” Dannenfelser said, adding that abortion was a significant issue in the 2016 presidential election.
“Hillary Clinton’s support for abortion up to the moment of birth is a significant reason why Donald Trump is in the Oval Office,” she asserted. “Yet, so far, the 2020 Democratic field has taken abortion extremism to a new level, supporting not only late-term abortion, but even infanticide, and demanding that all abortions are paid for by taxpayers.”

Thank you Lord that abortions are decreasing and your precious babies are living. I thank you that the hearts of the people are turning to you and your ways. I pray for Mr. McConnell that he stay standing strong and draw on the strength that only you can provide. I thank you that he is a man of strength and honor, and that he has a heart for the children and for You. I thank you that he is consistently putting the bills out there, and we now take authority over the evil one and command him to cease and desist, and take his hands off of our future children. Thank you Lord for providing men with hearts for You.
Father I hold up Mr. McConnell, that you will strengthen him and keep him safe. Let him know your love for standing for You and the children in the womb being created by you. Lord as this bill goes forth I pray that hearts are softened and that life prevails, as this is Your heart. I pray this bill fails, as we choose life and how precious it is. I pray for the mothers that are trying to make decisions that they will come to see the creation you have placed within them. I come against the devil and his evil ways and command him to cease and desist in his maneuvers against our children and mothers. He is a defeated foe and we have the victory given to us by God. We give you all the glory, honor and praise for all the lives you have created and the beauty of them.

Thank You Lord that abortion is on the decrease in the USA! Thank You that these bills to protect the unborn will pass! This is a desire of our hearts Lord. We choose life Lord! Bless all those who are working on protecting the unborn! Amen!
While it’s vital to stop abortion, it’s also important to bring young men and women to Christ so they will understand how valuable and prescious their future children will be. Where are our churches? Where are our Christian parents to provide this Christian up-bringing.? Important to deprive P. P. of babies to abort in the first place.
Holy and Just Father, I feel that America is being hijacked by those who want to kill babies in the womb. Please move to protect these little ones by opening the eyes of all who are deceived in our government in Washington DC. Convince them with dreams and visions to vote to protect these children whom You have created in Your image.
You are worthy our Lord and God to receive glory, honor and power. For YOU CREATED ALL THINGS. BY YOUR WILL THEY WERE CREATED AND HAVE THEIR BEING. Rev. 4:11 Please grant us repentance for trying to take your power and authority by choosing to kill babies. Please soften our hearts to understand the value that you give to every life, especially those created in your image. Please open our eyes to see your glory and power which is evident in every part of creation, especially human life.
I think the goal is to eliminate abortions, period. In the meantime we need to support mothers who feel they cannot raise their babies by providing health care and support, and to make it an honorable thing to do to give up one’s baby for adoption when a woman can’t or won’t be able to raise her child. I am not endorsing sex outside of marriage, but the church needs to stop judging and start loving these women. It’s God’s job to judge, not ours.
Father, I pray these bills would pass and unborn children would be protected. Touch those in the Democratic House to understand that these are human beings and you will hold our nation accountable for these lives. Touch many hearts with your love of babies.
