Many of us see key dates as opportunities for focused prayer in our nation. While we pray everyday for our nation and the issues we are called to cover, dates of significance can provide focal points for heightened prayer. Our friends at True The Vote have put together a brief description of key dates and milestones from now until Inauguration Day. Let’s use it for prayer!
KEY DATES BETWEEN NOW AND INAUGURATION DAY
Dec. 23 – Electoral votes must arrive on Capitol Hill: The USPS has nine days to deliver the certified electoral votes from their states to the Senate in Washington, DC.
Pray for protection and chain of custody for the votes that are being delivered.
Jan. 3 – New Congress sworn in: Members of the House and Senate take the oath of office at noon in the official start of the 117th Congress.
Pray for the new members of Congress by name. (A full list of the 117th Congress can be found here.) Pray that God’s plans and purposes would be fulfilled in our nation and that our elected officials would legislate in accordance with biblical values.
Jan. 6 – Electoral votes counted: Members of the House and Senate meet in the House chamber. Vice President Mike Pence in his role as president of the Senate presides over the session and the electoral votes are read and counted in alphabetical order by two appointees each from the House and Senate. They give their tallies to Vice President Pence, who announces the results. If there are objections, the House and Senate consider them separately to decide how to count those votes. There are 538 electoral votes: one for each congressman and senator plus three for Washington, DC. If no candidate gets 270 votes, the 435 members of the House decide the election. The House has until noon on January 20 to pick the president and each state gets a vote. If they can’t, it becomes the vice president or the next person in the line of presidential succession.
Pray for order and truth in this process when electoral votes are counted. Pray that constitutional principles are followed. Pray that God’s will for our nation would be fulfilled.
Jan. 20 – Inauguration Day: A new president takes the oath of office at noon. In a disputed election, if the House has not chosen a president but the Senate has chosen a vice president, the vice president-elect becomes acting president until the House makes a choice. And if there’s no president-elect and no vice president-elect, the House appoints a president until one is chosen.
Pray for this next term and the president holding office. Pray that if there is any dispute that our nation would be protected in the midst of disagreement.

Father in heaven, I thank you for President Trump and our Vice President Mike Pence.. I thank you for putting them in office and using them to bless this nation.. I thank you that you spoke through your prophets that President Trump would serve a second term. I thank you that your word endures through all eternity and will not return to you void. Help President Trump to remain strong and not to concede..I pray your continued safety and protection over him and Vice President Pence and their families and also over the team of lawyers, staff and witnesses and their families that are fighting this fraudulent election. Continue to expose all the evil and wickedness that has taken place. I pray that no weapon formed against any of them will prosper and every tongue that rises against them you will condemn. I thank you that you are our vindicator. I thank you Lord Jesus that you came to undo the works of the devil and we declare and decree that the evil works of this fraudulent election are undone and we thank you for it. Help us to continue to walk by faith and not by sight. In Jesus name we pray. Amen
I pray Ps 77:14- that God perform HIS miracle on these dates 12-23/Jan 3/ Jan 5-6/20. We need and decree Micah 2:13- a breakthrough for TRUTH and agreement & discernment of it. Also, we lift Isaiah 52:12 to the courts of heaven. O Lord, please BE. LIGHT BE. Go B4 us and be our rear guard in the mighty Name of Jesus.

Thank you so much for putting this together. It helps so much to know what to pray for and the important dates and what they mean. I believe we are getting ready to see God move in a miraculous unprecedented way. The scripture I have been praying and standing on is this one: “Jesus looked at them and said, “with man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26.
Praying God’s will for these individuals and for our beloved country and all its people…from the very youngest infant to the oldest senior citizen. Fill our hearts with love for You, for our country, and for those who serve our country in any capacity. Set guards and watchmen round about us to stand guard and protect our people, our properties and statues and all places of special significance including our church buildings. In Jesus name I pray.
Lord we look forward to the day when King Jesus will rule over this world with perfect justice and mercy. Until that time we pray that you will raise up Godly men and women to serve in our government. We pray that in this contentious election time that truth will come out. May our judges and legislators have courage to fight for truth. Please protect those who are coming forward as witnesses. I pray that the people of our nation would be seeking after you. Help us to remember that you are the one we hope in, and not in any person.
We pray for our nation several times a day that God will return our nation as it was founded in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. And especially for President Trump and the First Lady. Our Lady and Jesus are with them and will watch and guide over them. God will take care of the evil that is promoted. God will do justice as needed. Also do not forget the run off in Georgia. This to is very important to keep the senate. God Bless Our Nation and our leaders

Give everyone involved in the election dispute wisdom and discernment that can only come from You. Be with President Trump and Mike Pence and strengthen them. Give them and their team of lawyers the resolve to see this through!

Praying for God’s will to be done for a PEACEFUL elector process.
God has spoken to many prophets and will not go back on His word: President Trump will have a second term.
In 2Chronicles 20:20, (Notice the numbers) King Jehosaphat was told to believe the prophets–that the Lord would give them victory over the three massive armies (three nations against one) that were attempting to overthrow tiny Judah. He told him to send the worshippers first. (God inhabits the praises of His people.)They were meeting in the valley of Tekoa, which means, the trumpet is confirmed. While they were praising God, the Lord brought confusion on the enemies camp, so by the time Judah’s army had arrived they found there was not one survivor as they had all killed of one another.
This is now happening again! Do not fear. Rejoice in God’s great deliverance!

Dear Lord, please forgive our nation for calling a precious little human life a choice. Please forgive those who have made it a law that tells a female its ok to end the life of their baby. Please forgive those Drs. and all involved with the horrific slaughter of these beautiful helpless babies. Forgive us for the celebration of homosexuality as well. Let us remember to love the person you created in Your imagine and pray for their repentance and mental health. Father God, YOU WERE before there was. YOU spoke and it was so. Praise YOU, the Ancient of Days. Nothing is too difficult for you. You are all Knowing, Steadfast, and TRUTH.

It is so devastating to know that such corruption has been taken by some in the Democratic Party in this country.
May God uncover them all, and may they repent in shame for what they have done to America! I will be 80
years old in January and I have seen corruption, but nothing of this magnitude. May all those who have crafted this evil plot be exposed for their crimes against this nation which was founded upon God and His principles.

Release Your Spirit Of Truth on these officials, remove the blinding scales from their eyes and cause their conscious to awaken to Your truth; cause them to walk in your laws and ways by coming into a salvation knowledge of Jesus Christ to all those in house and senate.

Lord, You are worthy of all praise. All hope is in You. You have proven over and over how mighty and powerful You are to save. These times are intense and every day the exposure of evil in our midst is difficult to grasp. It causes me to grieve, be angry, and sick in my spirit. The depths of it sometimes overwhelm, and victory seems unreachable. But You, O Lord, are our deliverer and stronghold. Your Living Word is the rock on which we stand and our sword for battle. We fight with faith as our shield. Our hope is anchored in You. You have equipped us to be strong ready to join You in combat. Give Your people courage, strength, endurance, insight, wisdom, discernment, and determination to stay the course with You. Holy Spirit, anoint and guide our prayers, words, and actions to be effective. Refresh and renew our spirits as we co-labor to press on to victory over every scheme and plot of the enemy. You are all our all powerful ruler, and You reign. Satan and all of his demons are defeated foes. Let us not grow weary, but stand firm in our faith.
The words of your prayer resonate with me, and I can relate too. We are only human and fall into the trap of negative emotions all too easily. I am as guilty of it as anyone, and I am finding frequent prayer one of the best defenses against it. God bless.
