A House Democrat who’s a frequent critic of the Trump administration submitted a resolution Tuesday calling for the impeachment of Attorney General William Barr.
House Resolution 1032, filed by U.S. Rep. Steve Cohen of Tennessee, accuses the nation’s top law enforcement officer of using his job to pursue political goals.
“Today, I introduced #HRes1032, which would authorize an impeachment inquiry into Attorney General Barr,” Cohen wrote on Twitter. “He has politicized the DOJ, undermined the rule of law, abused his power, obstructed justice & violated the first amendment. He is not fit to be Attorney General.”
Cohen specifically cited Barr’s role in Justice Department decision to change sentencing recommendations for former Trump adviser Roger Stone . . . and Barr’s role in the removal of protesters from Lafayette Square near the White House on June 1, prior to a Trump photo op outside St. John’s Episcopal Church. . . .
“At this point, let’s solve our problems by going to the polls and voting on Election Day,” Pelosi said during a Washington Post Live interview. . . .
Last week, Justice Department spokeswoman Kerri Kupec hit back at any talk of impeaching Barr, who has led the department since February 2019 after previously serving in the post from November 1991 to January 1993 under former President George H.W. Bush. . . .
Editor’s Note: Kupec says while invited to speak at Fox and Friends,
“If people have a problem with Bill Barr coming back to the Department of Justice to restore one system of justice, not a two-tiered system, I think that says a lot more about the critics than it does about the attorney general,” Kupec said. “Because that is what he has done again and again.
“He approaches all cases with an open mind. He judges them according to the facts and the law without regard to political consideration,” Kupec continued. “This is what he promised to at his confirmation, this is what he has done throughout his tenure as attorney general, and that is what he will continue to do until his last day as AG.” . . .
At least two other House Democrats have publicly advocated for impeaching Barr, according to Politico. They are U.S. Reps. Rashida Tlaib of Michigan and Bill Pascrell of New Jersey.

Mr Barr, There are many pray for you. We believe that our God put you in this assignment for such time of this. The God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob knows you very well. He is also with you to accomplish His plan for this great nation USA to save her. For that we are so regretful and we will lift you up daily to yours and our God. We pray for the increased trust in the Lord for AG Barr that he will be as a the mountian of Zion which cannot be moved and abides for forever. Lord surround AG Barr like the mountains of Jerusalem and do good to his upright heart. Turn aside the crooked ways of Steve Cohen and the plans of HR resolution 1032 and let it not rest upon the righteouswork of AG Barr. In the powerful name of Jesus we pray.

We pray for Attorney General Barr for his protection and for no harm to be brought against him.
Let those who would do him evil be ensnared in their own traps.

Dear Father, I pray with the power you have given us, through our faith in Christ. I ask that You would destroy these principalities of darkness that has such a hold on our country. Destroy the deception, the fear, the hatred , the greed that has control of the minds of those in our government that are elected to represent us. Break the chains of bondage to these evil spirits that control these people. Pull down these strongholds. Open their eyes to the truth. Lord destroy the arguments these people stand on to try and impeach him. Expose their ideology as being false and destructive. I pray for protection for Barr and his family. I declare peace in the midst of this attack on him. I come against the spirit of fear and command it to leave him now. When he speaks, empower him with wisdom to counter every lie of the enemy.
We thank You Lord for giving us this power that goes forth when we pray. Continue to equip us, build up an army of warriors to fight this evil until it’s defeated. Hallelujah, in Christ’s name.

Lord, protect our Attorney General from these attacks on his integrity and cause the attacks to fail. Thwart all false accusations to crack and reveal the hypocrisy of the accusers.
