I Prayed have prayed
Father, we lay down our plans, ambitions, and all the things we try to have control over. We lay them at Your feet in total surrender. We need You and You alone, Lord.

God is doing a secret work in our day. He is raising up a hungry people who are growing more and more dissatisfied with the fleshly, worldly system as it now exists — even in the church.

These God-hungry people are saying among themselves, “This is not it. There is something more. The bigness and the sensationalism of it all has left us empty and dry. We want more.  . . .

We want deeper values. We want to see Jesus. We want spotless robes of righteousness. We want to go back to doing things in total dependence on God.”

I see it all over the nation today — disillusioned Christians searching for reality. The people in the pew are beginning to fast and pray. They are the ones who now weep between the porch and the altar. And, they are crying out for more depth and more of eternal values from the pulpit. If the minister of their church goes on in some egocentric way, pursuing expensive dreams, they will go out looking for a place where their deepest spiritual needs will be met.

I know it to be a fact that numerous ministers share my own desperate hunger for a deeper work of God in the church and ministry today. There seems to be a secret underground network of men of God who are stripping themselves down, humbling themselves, and getting back into the secret closet of prayer. Recently I have met a number of ministers, of various denominations, who are praying up to 6 and 8 hours a day.  . . .

They are fasting. Some of these dear men of God grieve over conditions in the church today. God is revealing to all praying people that a glorious new work of the Spirit is about to break forth. God is going to shake everything that can be shaken. He will tear down the old political, backslidden, ecclesiastical system. He will disown the formal, super-church structure. He will chase out of His presence all who are engaging in self-promoting ministries.

Be honest, saints of God. Are you really satisfied with the religious system today, and especially in your church? Some are. But most are not getting their needs met. I believe we have gotten off the track of true spirituality.  . . .

Shame on us! We are substituting temporal values for eternal ones. We have evangelists and teachers who specialize in telling believers how much God owes them. Material blessings are magnified, spiritual ones minimized. According to some, it is our right to be rich, successful, and immune to all pain.

These teachers point to themselves as examples of prosperity. “Look at me,” it is said, “I have proved the promises. I live well. I am never sick — I have no unpaid bills. I drive the best cars. I live in the finest home. It works for me, so believe as I do and you can have what I have.”

Eyes As a Flame of Fire

Beloved, how much of that teaching will stand up before the judgment seat of Christ? There is a growing inner knowledge in me that most of our modern, self-centered teaching is going to be consumed before the flaming eyes of the Son of God. . . .

John, in his vision of the Son of God, saw an awesome sight.

“…his head and his hair were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire…” (Rev. 1:14). . . .

“…I fell at his feet as dead…” (v.17).

Will any of us, as teachers and evangelists, be able to stand before those piercing eyes of flaming fire? Can any Christian look Him in the eyes? No ego can withstand His gaze. No self-centered dreams can go unexposed.  . . .

All the things we have accumulated will burn. All the great works we have done for Him, with such zeal and sweat, will they also burn?

How important is what you are doing to God’s kingdom? God can give you the desire of your heart, but send leanness to your soul. God assisted Israel in their desire to have a king. But He later disciplined them for their selfish motives.

Are you in some kind of competitive race? . . .

Children of God, what is the good of what you and I are doing? Do we have motives based on eternal values? If we truly believe the end of all things is upon us, what should we be doing about purging our values? What is it going to take to wake us up and get us out of the drift toward ease and comfort? . . .

I confess to you that it has taken years for me to live only for eternal values. I grieve when I think back of the time and money I wasted trying to build something tangible for God. I wanted something people could see. How important I thought those buildings were to God’s kingdom. I convinced myself, “God deserves the best.” He does-but not in bricks, mortar, and steel. He deserves the best of our time and yieldedness.

Thank God for the day the Spirit revealed to me how shallow my values were! I spent 20 years planning programs, building buildings, running all over the world trying to show God how important to His kingdom I was. All the while my reputation grew as a minister of faith and vision. Yet, after each new project, I felt a letdown. No sooner was one building finished, and I was already planning another. I was an idea-man for God. I had more ideas than any preacher in America. Ideas on how to evangelize. How to organize New Testament programs. The programs and ideas were successful enough to entrap me and keep me on the treadmill of busy-ness.

But all along my heart yearned for more. I knew the blessing was not in building. Not in some well-planned scheme to reach the lost. Not in bigness, and not in activity. I discovered the hard way, that the glory of God, the peace and joy of the Spirit, was in being stripped down, emptied, and made totally weak. God had to expose all my values.  . . .

Now, my greatest joy is waiting upon Him for direction. I have made time to be alone with Him, and have prepared my soul to abide in His quiet presence.  . . .

I see now that all along the Lord was waiting for me to lay down all my plans, all my ambitions, and be given over to Him as a bondslave. The sweat is now gone – the pressure is off. He is recreating all my values. . . .

How were you challenged or encouraged by this teaching?

Praising God for this message! It is truth!! We must all look deep within each day, even moment by moment and let the Holy Spirit rid us of what is not needed–distractions, vain imaginations, all our weak areas and failings, sin, and put on Christ!! Truly we must decrease, but He must increase. To God be the glory!! May many, many prayers go up this National Day of Prayer for our very needy nation!! May the Lord have His way in our land. May He work on all of us who believe to be the Chrstian He wants us to be. How we thank our Heavenly Father for His great Love in sending Jesus to us!! Let us all pray in one accord today and daily- mean it from the heart, “All to Jesus I surrender.” Let us be useful and fruitful for His glory, while there is time. We who believe are not our own, but owe our dear Lord everything. God be with all of you saints standing in the gap for this nation. I pray God has His way here and now. Blessed be the rock of our salvation. Only He can save our land..

Father God,
Thank You for Mario Murillo, his team, and the messages You are speaking through him. Thank You for the revival meetings where thousands are being saved. Thank You for Your plan to transform California by the power of Your Holy Spirit redeeming people through faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior and LORD.
I ask You to open the windows of Heaven and pour out all the needed resources for this mighty move of God: finances, prayers, volunteers, signs, wonders, miracles, wisdom, knowledge, discernment, understanding, insight, revelation, favor, whatever is needed.

Thank You for waking Your Church up to the fact we are in a war against evil. Every prayer meeting is a battlefield where we need to be protected by Your spiritual armor, and come prepared to use the only offensive weapon You have given us— the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. Show us how to pray and declare Your words with power and accuracy.

We ask all of this in the name and for the glory of Jesus Christ.
Amen.

It gives me great joy to see the humility in you that God loves
for us to have. It is very rare and is the missing link to our
being of value to the Lord’s work in the world today.
I started my journey of letting go of my church, that I loved,
when a new (younger) man came and covered up the cross and turned
the place into a nightclub atmosphere (and people loved it!). I
expressed my concern to the old pastor about the cross being
covered up. His response was, “Why do you care?” The Holy Spirit
immediately said, “You will not come back here.” I searched and
still search for a humble, God-fearing place of worship that does
not give homage to LGBTQ and think that is Godly. I mourn for the
privilege of worshiping my Lord and my Savior in a God-fearing church.
But, my little condo is a house of prayer and the Lord assures me this
is my job right now. This started way before the virus, which did not
change anything about my actions or beliefs because God had already taught
me to realize how blessed it is to lean totally on Him in absolute trust
and obedience. After all, this is what He says for us to do. I pray for
many more men like you to come to this place of surrender to the Lord and
to His way of doing and being, which is not prideful self-worship.
In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

A brief note:
Mario Murillo writes of Psalm 37:4
Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart

I have written in my Bible at that same Scripture:
Delight yourself in ME for I am the deepest desire of your heart.

Oh God, may YOU truly be the deepest desire of our heart! Sweet communion with YOU is our delight! Revive us again. Restore unto us our first love – YOU!

Amen

Lord, we ask for forgiveness. We have taken You out of our churches. We have taken the Word out of our teachings. We have created manmade doctrines. We have placed our eyes on men and not on You. Holy Spirit, we need you to guide us. Make us hungry and thirsty for your Word. Give us the desire to spent time in the secret closet listening to you and receiving instructions from you. Teach us as the Word says you do. Convict us of our shallowness. Give us the desire to really know our Dear Lord Jesus. We want to be as Daniel 11:32b says, people who KNOW their God and will be able to firmly resist, when the times comes, the pressure from the deceiver and his son the antichrist. We want to KNOW you Lord. Help us to go back to basics. We want to be just like the early church. Their eyes were placed on You, Jesus and their hope were in your return. Help us to understand that we are called to give it all for you, including our lives if you so desire. Let us be like the people in Revelation 12:11 They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. We want your leadership Lord. We do not want man’s leadership anymore. Help us to use the gifts, calling, ministries you have given us according to your will and under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, with you as the Head of the Body. Help us prepare to be the bride that will cry along with the Spirit, “come Lord Jesus, come.” Maranatha!

Dear Evangelist Mario Murillo, Thank you for taking time to share with IFA today, as you are what you write about: VESSELS OF FIRE & GLORY! I have been following you all over California through my internet participating in all your tent services, listening to your messages, praying prayers of agreement, and witnessing miraculous healings on video. The greater works today are going out at the LIGHTENING SPEED OF JESUS because of all our technology today, and since I don’t even have a car right now, our Lord is allowing me to travel all over the world with His Hand-picked leaders who are anointed with Fire and Glory and filled totally with Holy Spirit time and again. I pray for your safety, your angelic protection, your supernatural energy, wisdom, revelation knowledge, your team, your prayer warriors, all your equipment, and the funds to support your work to keep flowing in like a river unstoppable, and please give your lovely wife a hug for me! Hallelujah!!!!!!!! The Harvest is Plenty; Lord, provide the workers!!!! In the Name of Yeshua! Maranatha!!

We just left an intercessory prayer meeting at a church that is dying. Our prayers lined right up with this message. I’m grateful for the shaking and that our One true God and Father is doing new things within His body!

Dear Lord, we need You and only You. Help me lay down my plans and ambitions and other things I may think I have control over. I lay them at Your feet in total surrender to You. Help us realize that You are in control over all things. Give us the spiritual nutrition and awakening we need. In Jesus name I pray, amen!

We SEE IT! We suspect you do too! So many “hidden arrows” in God’s quiver of intercessors are sensing the awakening of His Body. We suspect there are at least hundreds-if not thousands- of small groups of intercessors praying for God to release more of The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, to lead souls to Himself. We sense the harvest has begun. We pray for seeds of His Gospel to fall on fertile ground and not on rocks; for The Gospel of Jesus Christ to be rooted and to flourish; for His Body to be strengthened. We suspect that intercessors are finding each other as God leads them into small groups inside and outside the “institutional” church as remnants to pray for the Holy Spirit to revive that “institutional” church. Lord, we pray for the workers in The Harvest. Wake up the “institutional” and “asleep” churches and make them alive in The Body of Christ. Thy Kingdom Come!

I know One Big Question God is asking; “What are you doing different than what you were doing before Pandemic? Doing after the shutdown and the re-opening? Has your direction changed or is it business as usual. If you think God did not orchestrate a NEW THING upon re-opening, I believe we would be gravely mistaken. I know it has been a struggle in the Church with masks, social distancing, and other governmental mandates, but that is a tactic and a ploy of the enemy to try to silence. Our voices should be getting stronger and our faith brighter. I love those who have fought these mandates and pressed forward towards the Lord. The Church is the place of hope especially now. I don’t pretend to know exactly the mission or commission of God myself now, but know in my heart it should be way different than it was at the beginning of 2020! It should be deeper, it should be more courageous, it should be more confrontational. Would Jesus be flipping tables right now?

    Well said Patrick.
Our place of worship, although small, has been continuously meeting without masks and without social distancing for the last twelve months. Have we had Covid? Yes one or two of us but we are not giving in to a spirit of fear which IS the pandemic, not the virus.
We all want the new things that God has for us and we have to have the new wineskins for the new wine.
Cleanse Your church Lord God that we may be true witnesses for You on fire with Your righteousness.

Our Pastor is one who has called our church a House of Prayer and called the congregation to step out to stand in this day. This article is true. What is meant for evil by the Left has shown the lack of Holy Spirit leading in churches that bow to the gods of culture. Lord, help us in this time. Forgive us for our complacency; reveal the false leaders and draw your remnant to the forefront to bless this nation once more. Amen.

True. I had an instantaneous holy anger AGAINST the church system. And God confirmed it was and is his anger through me and many against the churches, especially the big ones that hide the Truth of his Word….saying lukewarm messages devoid of Truth, Justice, and Righteousness. .these churches, up to 97 percent of them, have chosen to make alliances with Rome (the government and the New World Order)….the Lord is VERY DISPLEASED…what we are living we brought upon ourselves…the old system of prosperity church system is doing much damage…most of the body of Christ (if in fact these leaders and church members are of Christ) are walking devoid of Power of the Spirit. No wonder why the enemy is telling the church what to do…

Rise up remnant of Christ!!! In the name of Jesus Christ, this remnant WILL GROW in power in the Spirit, and they old cowardly church system will die. Amen!!

I had to leave my old church in Houston. A prime example of lukewarmness and COWARDLINESS. Prompted by the Spirit. Many others are leaving, prompted by the Spirit, to begin in small churches or home churches.
