I Prayed have prayed
Lord, we pray your Presence would come roaring to our nation in this next decade. Reestablish your view of the family, revitalize your Church, and restore justice through our government. May we truly have a spiritually Roaring 20’s.

As we close not only a year, but also a decade, 2010-2019, I thought I would offer a prophetic look back as well as a prophetic glimpse of the next decade. Reflecting on the past decade, I wish that I could list great spiritual accomplishments, but I believe it could prove to be one of the most destructive in our nation’s history.

I want to be very clear about some fundamentals. God has created the family, the Church, and the government as the three divine institutions to express His care and concern over His creation. In each, believers are called to be stewards and to bring the influence of our Eternal King. The family, the Church, and the government have clear and distinct roles in God’s design for His creation to work most effectively. With this foundational philosophy, I offer reflections on the “terrible teens.”

Family

A galactic distortion of sexual identity and family. Over this past decade we have watched the blurring of God’s image of male and female. Just recently I saw the headline: “Transman and non-binary partner give birth using female sperm donor.” I can’t even unravel who did what in this scenario, but it illustrates the fact that some have decided that anybody can be anything they want with the right surgery, hormonal replacement, or mindset.

During the terrible teens, the Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriage. The rationale given in the majority opinion was that culture has “evolved.” This is ironic given that there is absolutely no evolutionary advantage of legalizing the marriage of two individuals who cannot propagate the species.

Not only is this distortion of sexual identity and marriage inconsistent with God’s heart for people, but also it is destabilizing our culture.

Despite the availability of legal marriage, those with same-sex attraction (5% of the US population) marry about 10% of the time, as opposed to 50% of heterosexuals (the remaining 95% of the population). Same-sex marriage is now featured in many trendy commercials but it represents only .5% (10% of the 5%) of the U.S. population. That’s right; one half of one percent, leaving 99.5% told they must accept this new reality.

Normalized immorality and the widespread availability of pornography. The notion of unmarried couples saving themselves until their marriage night has never seemed more outdated than today. Cohabitation is widely accepted in our culture, with nearly 20% of 25-34 year olds choosing this over marriage, up from approximately 5% at the beginning of the century and .1% fifty years ago.

Our culture has accepted the lie that immorality leads to personal discovery and happiness. LGBT concepts such as “gender fluidity” teach that sexual experimentation is the only manner in which a person can discover “what” they are as they discover what feels good to them. Believers know that nothing could be further from the truth.

Rapidly increasing at the same time as, and in connection with, the growing acceptance of immorality is the availability and use of pornography. The fact that free porn is only a couple of clicks away has produced porn traffic amounting to 30% of all the traffic on the internet.

Pornography not only breaks the heart of God, it rewires a person’s brain, producing addiction paths and unrealistic expectations that ruin real relationships.

The Church

Tolerance produces a false love mandate. During the terrible teens, a push for tolerance produced what I am calling a “false love mandate.” The mantra of this call for tolerance was “love me the way I want to be loved, without any judgment.” Initially, this may have seemed reasonable, but as the root of this distorted love has taken hold in our culture, it has grown like a playground bully. Now any questioning of the current twist on morality draws fire. For example, city officials in Houston subpoenaed sermons of pastors who spoke out about homosexuality, threatening to prosecute them for their views. A recurring strategy is to take a moral issue, turn it into a political issue, and tell Christians they have no right to speak about it. (This is an example of the blurring of lines between the Church’s role and government’s role.)

This new “love” requires that we accept anybody’s thoughts and behaviors not only as real, but also as acceptable, which neutralizes our ability to talk about moral issues. It removed any thought of a universal moral code and placed each individual as the center of the universe.

True love desires God’s best for the individual, regardless if they agree or not. This view now seems judgmental and is no longer acceptable.

Post-liberal Evangelicalism. There is a new post-liberal worship of “justice” that has destroyed the meaning of evangelicalism. In the past few decades, many of us would describe ourselves as Evangelicals, meaning that we subscribe to Biblical, orthodox Christianity and believe in salvation through Christ alone. This meaning has been turned on its head, leaving orthodox Christians who want to share salvation in Christ with others in a state of dysphoria, not knowing how to describe ourselves.

The false love mandate has twisted the biblical concept of justice touted by vocal leaders in what I believe is Post-Liberal Evangelicalism. In their fight for justice and for those who have been treated unjustly they are championing transgender people,  those with same-sex attraction, illegal immigrants, and Muslims. Fighting for justice is not wrong—a very biblical mandate—yet the message of salvation only through Christ and the Truth of the Bible has been forgotten, leaving this movement full of angry individuals and no divine power.

This point was emphasized late in this decade when it was discovered that a widely respected Christian business, Chick- fil-A, known for its biblical ethics, will no longer contribute charitable dollars to Christian ministries. Rather than support conservative Christian organizations like FCA and the Salvation Army, they have decided to focus their financial support on justice organizations. It was also discovered that they have been funding extremist organizations such as the Southern Poverty Law Center for years.

The God of the Bible is all about justice, but justice of flawed men and women in need of salvation through a Savior.

Government

Un-criminalization of criminals. We are just now learning about criminal action by the very officials that are supposed to be protecting the innocent and fighting against criminal activity. It is becoming clear that during the terrible teens, high level Department of Justice officials put in place “insurance” measures—spies, incriminating relationships, and more—in order to control the outcome of national politics. We have watched officials lie to Congress concerning actions from years ago and leak secret information to media outlets in order to control the narrative reported about their testimonies. We have watched secret FISA courts—that are needed—rely upon fake documents, known to be fraudulent and paid for by political rivals, to gain warrants in order to spy on political rivals. All of this maleficence occurred over years and is coming to a head as this decade closes.

All of this corruption occurred without a single crime conviction. The cover-up tactic is consistent: blame your political enemy of doing what you are doing. This creates a cover, causes confusion, and makes any investigation look politically motivated.

People cry out when justice is held back.

The rise of sanctuaries. During the terrible teens,  we witnessed the rise of “sanctuaries.” The first kind of sanctuary related to the legalization of marijuana in states like Colorado. Banks that marijuana producers used could not legally receive money from illicit behavior—growing and selling marijuana—if they had bank branches in other states where marijuana was illegal. So federal law needed to change or not be enforced. Next we saw a growing number of cities declared as sanctuaries for illegal aliens in contradiction of federal law and policies.

What followed is small cities, municipalities, counties, and local boards decide they were not recognizing some law or not cooperating with some law enforcing organization. In other words, localities are deciding what laws they will submit to and what laws they won’t. We are sitting on a powder keg of lawlessness that will some day explode. In my state of residence, Virginia, the Governor and new Legislator (that just flipped to a Democratic majority) has threatened to confiscate guns. As a consequence, every county in Virginia, except for three, has preemptively declared their county as a sanctuary for Second Amendment rights. The citizens in 92 Virginia counties have already said to the Governor they will not hand over their guns no matter what laws are passed. (I am strongly sympathetic to gun rights, but worried about localities rebelling against higher authorities.)

What’s next? Will individuals declare their property is a sanctuary for people who want to break a law they disagree with? Lawlessness and disregard of authority will have tragic effects within our nation and the foundation has been laid.

The Power of Fake News

All of these trends started and grew as the amount and legitimacy of fake news grew. Early in the terrible teens, we hoped that there was not an agenda in news agencies. Then it became probable there was, and now it has become crystal clear that news agencies spin stories to produce their impressions and their version of the truth. The organized, unified talking points of the progressives are expressed day after day through the established news agencies.

Roger Ailes took over Fox News in 2001 and we saw the meteoric rise of this source of “fair and balanced” truth from a conservative perspective. Fox News became the most watched cable channel, even through much controversy (and wrongdoing) during Ailes’ leadership. Under the shadow of this behemoth are rising sources of trustworthy conservative news that are smaller, but more numerous. These new sources must search for a new way to fund their enterprises with smaller staffs, utilizing technology to impact millions.

One final illustration of the downfall of news sources came in the final moments of the decade as the trusted source for Evangelicals, Christianity Today, published an editorial that called for President Trump to be removed from office concluding, “The president of the United States attempted to use his political power to coerce a foreign leader to harass and discredit one of the president’s political opponents. That is not only a violation of the Constitution; more importantly, it is profoundly immoral.” This conclusion, presented in the magazine started by Billy Graham, is not even shared by every Democrat in the House of Representatives and certainly not by even one single Republican representative.

So, as we close this decade, where will go during the next decade?

Even as the family unit was attacked, the Church embraced the false love mandate, government corruption became more evident, all of this fueled by irresponsible press, I still remain hopeful. Some have said that God is sovereign and will accomplish what He wants, but I contend that He has delegated more authority to us than some think. In God’s heart, He has the expectation that nations should be corporately obedient to Him (Jeremiah 18). And He provides the ability to do it. Here are reasons why I am hopeful that the 20’s will be a decade of turn around.

Here come The Roaring 20’s

Last century, the roaring 20’s were a time of great economic prosperity with popular culture solidifying around music and dancing. I believe there will be a different type of roaring 20’s in this century.

The roar of the intercessor. I hear in the Spirit (and see in the natural) a rapidly increasing roar of those burdened to pray for our country. Everywhere I go, people tell me something like this: “Recently I have a burden to pray for our nation, never had it before, but now I do.” This supernatural phenomena is a sovereign work of the Spirit who is equipping the Church to rule in this day. When God burdens His people to pray, He is about to do something great.

The roar of the quiet majority. I am seeing more and more believers who have quietly sat on the sidelines or been mildly involved in God-given civic duties reach a point where they are stirred to do something. I believe rising out of this moral chaos are leaders and organizations that will speak to moral issues in ways that will correctly align the roles of the Church and government and will gather, inspire, and motivate. This roar will begin early in this decade and grow through intercession for the Church.

The roar of the fight. The clash over moral issues in this past decade resulted in a series of moral and governmental defeats. I believe that God will begin to empower His people through strategy and intercession to begin to see moral victories expressed through government. From the dust of the Post-Liberal Evangelicals will rise a new brand, with new defining labels that will lead in a balanced expression of justice and salvation and be attractive to a whole new generation.

Lord, we pray your Presence would come roaring to our nation in this next decade. Reestablish your view of the family, revitalize your Church, and restore justice through our government. May we truly have a spiritually Roaring 20’s.

May we each go through this article, piece by piece, on our knees standing in the gap for our country. Thank you Lord for waking up new intercessors to their task of duty before your throne. May your praise always be on our lips. Thank you Father for your great love for us. In Jesus name, Amen

2020 is all about Jesus! The same yesterday, today and forever! May we regain our focus on Him. May that focus realize that He gave His all to cover us when we surrender to Him. Jesus we accept that You are perfect and You alone cover our sins and iniquity. Help us to see them that repentance may fall quickly from our lips. In turn may our lips decree Your Goodness to all generations. Open our lives as a testimony of Your love that others may know and see You through us. May we take our purity in You to a whole new level in Jesus this year/decade to leave behind our past that has held us back as You launch us into Your Kingdom and being Your Kingdom.

We Pause in Prayer and Bow in Worship

As we come to the end of another year, I turn to a Psalm – to Psalm 90. In Scotland we have appreciated and loved the Psalms. We sing the Psalms regularly – as did Israel – and as Israel continues to sing the Psalms. God has not changed over the years.

The God Who heard the Psalmist’s Prayers hears our prayers. What are you saying to our gracious God as this year draws to a close?

God’s nature has not changed – and human nature has not changed.

So much is changing – governments – leaderships – fashions change regularly – but God looks at our inside – our heart – out mind.

We have not changed. Human nature is still selfish – sinful – warmongering .

Man continues to be so self-centred.

We are living in a difficult time, and that is why I turned to Psalm 90.

The Bible never goes out of date – it tells you about human nature and God’s nature – and how the two can be brought together.

You ARE God – not were God – but You ARE God – and the God Moses worshipped is the same God we worship, through Jesus Christ.

God made us to be men of God and women of God.

This is a Psalm of Moses – a prayer of Moses. Here is a man at the end of a tough life – a man of God in charge of two and a half million people. He is tired – feeling his age – but experienced.

Moses is the Leader of a nation – who is also a man of prayer.

Moses had been through many trials – as a baby he was rescued and preserved. He had the finest upbringing and education in Egypt.

He had to go off into the wilderness and be a shepherd – and after forty years he met God, through the burning bush – and in that dry scenario, Moses was called by God to undertake a very special work and ministry.

Moses led that nation of chosen people out of Egypt – across the Red Sea – and into the wilderness.

One thing Moses knew was that God was FAITHFUL – that is one vital aspect of God’s character.

KNOW that God is faithful – that Jesus Christ will never let you down. Jesus spoke about abiding in God – in order to produce fruit.

Verse 1 – You have been OUR dwelling place – for us, that is ‘In Christ’ – and ‘in His Word’

Moses has seen God’s hand in his life – even in the challenging experiences he went through. We read of The Eternal Nature of God

Dwelling-place – can be translated REFUGE – HAVEN – HARBOUR. Coming to God is like coming home – Someone to turn to – that is how this Psalm opens.

Notice how these words are vertical – addressed to God.

We do not just call upon God in seasons of trouble and difficulty.

This is a remarkable description and assertion – that God can be and should be our dwelling place – for 40 years they had been wandering in the wilderness – and yet they have been in GOD – under judgment.

Human life is like dust – you blow dust away – that is how Moses describes it. It is like driftwood being swept away in a torrent of water.

Verses 3 and 4 – We are reminded of God’s Sovereignty.

There is an insecurity as well as a security – dust – it is GOD who does this – we do not do this – it is God who does this – God is sovereign.

We do not know where we will be next week – next month – next year.

Life is likened to a dream – we dream regularly – and soon it disappears.

Life is likened to a desert. The grass is so fresh and green in the morning – but under the fierce sun of the Middle East it can soon wither.

Men can quickly change from being so healthy and strong – and they are suddenly struck down. The Bible teaches us to value our health and strength.

If you can walk and talk – if you are well and strong and healthy – give thanks to God for that today. It is when our body no longer works that we may wish we had appreciated these days when everything was all right.

Verse 5 – Moses says – it is GOD who does this – our Sovereign gracious God. Grass is Sown – Grown – Blown – Mown – and gone. In the morning the grass looks so fresh and green – but it does not last all that long.

Before Creation – God was there – before the mountains were pushed up – from everlasting to everlasting you are God.

It was God Who created this world – and when He created it – it was good – very good – prefect – do not ignore the Creator God.

There was no death until sin appeared on the scene. How do those who believe in evolution cope with that scriptural fact? It is simply a spiritual truth.
This is why faith in Jesus Christ is vital – crucially important.

Verses 7 to 12 – God’s severity – Our Iniquity before God – we are NOT fit to live for ever.

It took 40 years to go through the wilderness under the leadership of Moses and Aaron – it should have taken only a few months. The people had made wrong choices – they turned to making idols – and immorality – and GOD had to deal with them – it was God’s chastening Hand upon them.

Moses recognises the reality of this in prayer.

Verse 8 – God sets the sin of people before HIM – unconfessed sin – and man has to face the painful consequences – and these people lost four decades of their lives.

There is a failure to move forward in the will of God!

Verse 9 – They were struggling – limping along with a whimper or moan.

As we come to the end of another year – deal with what needs to be dealt with in your life. Read Psalm 90 – make sure that the Lord God Almighty is your dwelling place.

Remember how you came into the Church of Jesus Christ – Repent – Believe – having been Baptised in water – and having received the Holy Spirit.

Take time – make time – to give thanks to God.

“Loving gracious God – our heavenly Father – we take time as another calendar year draws to a close, to pause in prayer and bow in worship. We thank You for Your faithfulness and grace and love – we thank You for every provision and gift and blessing. Lord Jesus, help us to prepare for whatever lies ahead. Amen”

(This week’s “Word from Scotland” – previous articles may be found at Studylight.org and liveasif.org in the ‘Archives’ – warmest greetings to you, in Christ Jesus.)

Concerning the “post-liberal worship of ‘justice'” we need the biblical correction of righteousness. Biblically, justice and righteousness are inseparably tied together, like heads and tails on the same coin. To separate justice from righteousness destroys both. As we apply the “roar of the intercessor” to this problem in evangelicalism, let us focus on the restoration of the unity of social righteousness and social justice. That unity is necessary for a truly just society.

What an encouragement to see the Holy Spirit compelling us to pray! Even I have set aside my quilting to be solely focused on interceding in 2020! Hallelujah! What a privilege to serve!

Well said, David. II Timothy 3:1-5.
The blog calling for a Day of Repentance Prayer for the egregious abuse of State Department USAID denying funds to nations that refuse to promote LGBTQ+ and abortion was a great launch for a Roaring Twenties. We need to realign with the Foundation of our Father’s Word to know His grieved Heart. The Church need a Josiah reformation. We are ignoring our Father’s signs as in Days of Noah and Laodicea. Repentance brings His favor, blessings and revelation.

I pray our Roaring 20’s will be the Vision of the Spirit in 20/20 perfect vision perspective.
The 1/2% of near sighted distortion has become a spiritual leavening that has been grasping for our children. A very small seed becoming a ravaging darkness throughout every form of our society.
The Church still has in it’s grasp a powerful tool. The Spirit of God’s Love. The “drill of choice” directed through PRAYER to every situation.
All Carpenters of Jesus need to take up the cause to build the Kingdom by this means.

Independence is America’s greatest strength; it is also her greatest weakness. “My House shall be called a House of Prayer” but few churches practice prayer–and that is where the problem began and returning to prayer is where the problem will end — when people repent of living to satisfy their own selfish wishes and whims and instead begin to live to please GOD.

As Christa said, intercession will play a key role in coming days. As the drums of war can be heard in the distance, and the saber rattling is increasing globally, we must beat our own drums of spiritual warfare. There must be a national repentance within the Church, as we seek the Lord in sackcloth and ashes travail and ask for forgiveness for our rebellion. God is looking for those who will stand in the gap for His purposes and declare His will be done on earth.

Even the condition of the Church as it stands, it is still the most potent army on earth! Imagine if we came in line with God’s plans! I said on an earlier post that Jesus said in (Mt. 24:12) ***Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold*** Not some…not half…most!! Not the world, but the Church! This has become evident as many within the Church are seeking a “feel good” message, and are not willing to be accountable to one another.

We have heard thousands of “prophetic voices” speaking nothing but messages of good blessings to come (not bad in of itself) but they never tell you what needs to transpire to see these blessings come to fruition! Fruit grows on the end of a limb, and we must be out on a limb to see fruit in our lives…Faith is spelled R.I.S.K. God is about to ask us to walk on water…in the middle of the night…on a stormy sea…and it will require faith.

For years we have heard the soothsayers say: “This is the Year of Breakthrough”…next year: “This is the year of The Great Revival”…next year: “This is the year of New Wineskins/New Wine”…next year: “This is the Year of Your Transition”…and year after year it was “Church as usual”… the words may have had credence, but the Church was not willing to pursue for fear of the price it may of cost. So I am telling you, this is the year that God will raise a company of messengers who have been tested in the fire and have humbled themselves to do as their Father commands. They will quell the status-quo and bring about a new order of God’s heavenly blueprint. God will come in forms few will recognize, because it will not be the familiar.

The landscape of our spiritual walk will be inundated with miracles, signs and wonders beyond what we have ever experienced, and they will be sign posts for the lost., even within the Church as a whole. We will finally recognize the burden of the heart of the Father and stop saying: “look what we are doing for you Father” and start saying: “What do you want us to do Father” Be prepared to see God remove the wheat from the chaff…the vile from the precious…the righteous from the pretender. Judgement begins with the family of God (1 Pe. 4:17)

If we listen to the world when it warns us: “Beware of Dog”…..”Danger, High Voltage”…..”Warning Thin Ice” how much more should we listen to the warnings from heaven? ***See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks. If they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, how much less will we, if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven?(Heb. 12:25) We are in a crucial time period, and God will not stay His hand forever. The door of extended grace is closing, and we must be vigilant in seeking Him with all of our heart. The future of our destinies depends on it!!! Be blessed…..><(("<

Dwayne, you spoke directly to me. I was called out of my sleep to do a work. Father has worked face-to-face with me as He did with Moses. Over many years we have completed 3 of the 4 prophesied Books that are last WARNINGS to the church to come out of the idolatry of false beliefs. The Journey Through Tribulation is the God-breathed interpretation of the Revelation prophecy and is about and for the church system of man! Father has given me a very small window of time for when the Day of Wrath will happen! KingdomofLightTruth.org

I believe the time is crucial, as well. I’m sure I’m not the only one whose felt the intimidation of the inundation of evil in many aspects of our divisive culture wars here in America. Also, God’s Word about judgement beginning with the house of the Lord really resonates in my heart. My husband and I are determinedly focused to see the righteous abundant life of Christ flow through us to others. We know this is only accomplished on our knees in a humble yet desperate position before the Lord as His Spirit brings conviction and subsequent repentance, which we all, as Christ followers ought to be doing, consistently to be sure our hearts are rightly aligned with and truly abiding in Christ as He leads us in His way of holiness. Our relationship with Christ needs His empowerment to make impact through our prayers, our words and our lives. For our prayer this morning, the first day of this decade, we were impressed to pray for the reestablishing of God’s order, in the family, church, and our nation. And that we, as Christ’s followers, would rise to this occasion and not retreat or “go with the status quo flow”, busied with all our many distractions that can easily “Rob, kill or destroy” the ongoing life of Christ to buildup our own souls and flow out to others. We recognize the urgency to truly “abide in Christ” and recognize when our emotions or circumstances try to move us out of that peaceful, yet powerful “secret place of the Most High”- I’m also hearing the Lord direct me to pray the psalms, like psalm 94 that I prayed this morning, as spiritual warfare. Also studying different verses re “righteousness” to pray as the mighty SWORD OF THE SPIRIT that The Word is against all darkness! Psalm 5:1-3 “Give ear to my words, O Lord. Consider my meditation. Give heed to the voice of my cry, For to You will I pray. My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord. In the morning I will direct it to You. AND I WILL LOOK UP!”- I pray we all learn, even more, how to “encourage ourselves in the Lord”- 1 Samuel 30:6 and that we’d be further equipped to pass that much needed encouragement onto others- that God would be praised ⚔️

AMEN Linda!! We also must be careful not to allow those who are spiritually blind or emotionally lame within our midst to deter us from what God has ordained for us to do. There are, as I stated, the “naysayers” among us who will not have the heart to move forward in this coming season. We cannot allow them to council us as their woundedness could cause us to slip up in times of battle. The Lord can heal these hearts that have stumbled and do not walk in stride with what God is about to do, but we must gather with those of like minds and callings as God’s plans are unveiled.

God is extending our tent pegs and quickening our steps. Those who repent of their complacency will be given the opportunity to catch up with what the Lord is about to do in the earth. It will be a time of great chaos, but there is always chaos before a mighty move of God. He will shake all that can be shaken, so that what remains will be unshakeable!! (Heb. 12:27) God is not looking for wimps waiting to be rescued, but fire breathing world changers!!

Jesus said: ***I have come to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled!***(Lk. 12:9) He also said that His word would bring division.(vs. 51) If we want the presence of Jesus to permeate every facet of our lives, we must be prepared to endure all the warfare His name provokes! When light enters darkness, confrontation is inevitable! Everywhere Jesus went, He provoked warfare. Demons cried out in His presence, people tried to stone Him, others tried to kill Him…

It is a steadfast spirit that learns to live with the God of war who will battle on our behalf, because everything He does is birthed through warfare and confrontation. Breakthrough will occur if we submit to God’s perspective on what is transpiring. 98% obedience in this hour is not obedience! We cannot shrink back in this hour (Heb. 10:37-38) This will allow the enemy to use our frustration for the purpose of strife and division. Today, more than ever, if we pray to be a useful vessel and servant of the Most High, we must not become upset when he treats us like one! If we raise our swords to the Lord of the Hosts, we will never be put to shame…May Ruach Elohim cover those who say yes to the coming battle…..be blessed…..><(("<

The roaring twenties will be the decade of prophetic intercession, which is first hearing what is in God’s heart, and then proclaiming that very thing to the land! This way, “Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven” will become a powerful order of generals who command the Heavenly Army of angels to carry out God’s will! A general doesn’t plea with his army, much less whines. He roars out commands with boldness and authority, and you will see the army move at once, and conquer. Christ being the King of kings, the Lord of lords, and also the Governor over all governors (according to Revelation 1:5), we, as His Body, have to IMPOSE His will on our land, pick up the sword of the Spirit and, roaring like lions together with the Lion of Judah, drive out the evil forces. Listen, e.g. to the prophecies of Kim Clement concerning Donald Trump and the US, given years before Trump was elected President. He prophesied a whole series of what God wants to do through this ‘David, who will kill Goliath and his brothers’. Listen, write all of these points down, and then proclaim these with the authority, strength and power of an army general, day after day without wavering, until all of what is in God’s heart, comes to pass. You will experience a new power in prayer! God bless America and President Trump!

Blessings, Dave, for that inspired soliloquy. I have appreciated the Friday calls so much, so much great information. I have been lead to pray and fast on Wednesdays and Fridays, and the Lord has impressed upon me several important attitudes: obedience, calling us to be separate from the vast whirlpool of people who are headed in the wrong direction, and adhering to holiness, which is an adhering to God and Jesus. Let us put the veil of holiness over our heads, so that we may not be led astray.

Such an encouraging piece of work, I praised God for it. Really did uplift my spirit and move me to a higher hope and expectation of what our awesome God’s fully capable of doing through His obedient, holy, and hungry for Him children, desiring above all to see His righteousness reign in our individual lives, families, churches and country ! Amen to your prayers, Mr Kubal, for the spiritual “roaring 20’s”. By the way, when I read the title, I saw the roaring head of Aslan ( Lion, Witch, Wardrobe- CSLewis) come boldly on my mind and I was emboldened by the Spirit of God to actually believe that this next decade could and will be very positive for the kingdom of God’s sake and I laid down some fears and depression that I allowed to get a grip on my soul and confessed the sin of fear and distrust to the Lord – I’m feeling so much more encouraged by the goodness of God’s Spirit- Just wanted to say thanks for the encouragement and I appreciate being a part of this group- Feeling privileged, humbled and blessed by the Lord all at once ! Hallelujah to the Lord, our God .

As Aslan roared in the picture in my mind, “LION of JUDAH”, another name attributed to Christ came to my mind- roared through my soul emboldening my soul to believe the next decade could really be awesomely God glorifying in many ways through all our lives as we “lean into Him and listen for His whispers are saying to our innermost souls and rest in Him as He empowers our souls with HIS ROARS !

Thank you Dave. I will be adding, with God’s help, fasting to my prayers for
our nation, our president and IFA’s influence and direction for each and every
intercessor and issue for our nation. God bless you and your efforts and give
all that is needed to stand against and push back the evil that seeks to prevail
in our country and in our lives every day. God be praised for the power and the
glory belongs to him. Also, thank you for the First Friday Prayer Calls.

I align my prayers with Emilie G’s and am fasting, intermittently, as well.

I agree with Dave’s reflections and prayers for our country. The counsel of Psalm 2 against the rulers (and all levels of government and people) to be “wise and warned to serve the LORD and kiss the Son, lest He be angry and His wrath kindled against them,” motivates me to pray through the “news” and for our government and culture, that our country would turn from evil and receive His promise that “Blessed are all who take refuge in HIm.”

A very good presentation overall–just one thing bothers me. The 2nd Amendment is part of our Constitution and is found in the Bill of Rights Section. This is not just about preferences for or against gun ownership. Our Constitution is about balance of powers. If the 2nd Amendment can be ignored by a simple act of a state or individual, then every bit of the rest of this document can be bypassed too. The left hates our Constitution, I have noticed, and longs for a more dictatorial form of governance free from the balance and right to redress grievances that our Constitution embodies. They use twisted interpretations of the Constitution to head us toward this return to a King form of governance that we left at the beginning of the American Experiment. If we believe in the First Amendment, let’s also hold to the Second, even if we don’t like guns.

I agree with all that was written. In the state of NJ they are trying to take away the rights of the parents to make decisions on inoculations for there children. These children are receiving two shots at once for three different diseases. There bodies cannot handle this. Three thousand parents showed up in Trenton, NJ to protest. It passed the House of Representatives. However the Senate is holding from voting until the new year and if Senate passes it the Governor will sign it by Jan. 13 or 14. Many children have become autistic because of these shots. I read where one child died because what was in the shots. If this becomes law parents will have no say about shots given to children. The government will control the decisions. Parents will lose there rights. This is just the beginning of control. The Lord has told me to pray for state government. While I was in NJ I was a state house intercessor I saw lobbyists try to persuade our government leaders. Our leaders would be in meeting for hours and they where tired with loads of papers to sign. They would try to get a cup of coffee and they where followed by people who wanted to get them to talk about there agenda. I remember one elected official said leave me alone I have major decisions to decide. He walked away but at the end of the day they went after him again. We need to pray for state government. I live in Pa. the Lord said pray for the state house in Harrisburg . I’m still praying for state house in New Jersey as my children grandchildren and great grandchildren live there.

Bless the Lord for your strong stance of boldness. Amen & I agree these are things government should not be stealing from parents & family. May the truth prevail & set us free. Keep on the path by faith, our God will act on our behalf!

Pat, your very important point about the insidious poisoning of our little ones with shots is a must see for new parents and the rest of the USA population. This is also done to senior citizens. We live in NC; my former doctor used scare tactics and threats repeatedly trying to get us to take several shots including the “flu” shot. I had researched the chemical make up of them and found they have TWO different types of formaldehyde in them! Thank you for reminding us to pray intensely for our local, state and federal government leaders and against the Big Pharma and the FDA’s attempts to control and remove us! See Rodney-Howard Brown’s book,”The Killing of The Planet”.

Heavenly Father, I pray 2020 will be the year of convicted hearts, that you will fill us with a tremendous desire to once again call upon your name. Place in us a need that we will find only in you. Forgive us for replacing you with idols that have almost destroyed us. Remove the hatred, the division and the need to hurt others. Stop the lies and show us your truth. Fill us with love, not just any love, but your love and compassion. Help us to put others above ourselves. Show us the way Father and help us to follow. May we all be a people that honors and glorifies your name. I pray this will be the year of hope, and peace and restoration. Come Lord Jesus, into our hearts, into our homes, our familes our marriages, our schools and our government. We thank you for what is to come and we praise you for who you are. In Jesus precious name we pray these thing, Amen

Interesting article well written with great insights. Going forward I think our battle is more about truth than fighting for territory. We are frightened to mention just how worldly the Church has become and how badly we are failing. The side effects are enormous. We going to become less influential and less effective if we continue to water down the Gospel and as we move away from His word in order to be accepted. We’ve lost the ability to Evangelize to a dying world.

So true. God, convict the churches that are spreading the false grace narrative. Let there be a return to the truths in Your Word. Amen

Excellent, well written and on point. I wholeheartedly agree with the final three points of this article. I am compelled like never before to pray for our country and our leaders and our great President! To win this battle, we must put on the full armor God and take out the enemy in our camp through Intercessory prayer, fasting and crying out corporately to God for our deliverance from evil. We do not fight against flesh and blood but against powers, principalities, the evil of this dark world and wickedness in high places. Now more than ever we must STAND and PRAY. The day of the Lord is nigh…Joel 2:1.
