Jan Schakowsky (D)

Father God, again a person I do not know how to pray for; I do not know this woman or her heart and soul condition, but PTL You do. I commit Representative Jan Schakowsky to the working of Your Holy Spirit, for the outcome of her eternal soul and her life, that she might be redeemed and that she might make a positive impact on other lives she encounters and in her work. Lord, draw her unto yourself and Your purpose for her life. Oh Lord, In the Name and by the power of Jesus Christ and the Spirit he gives us, we pray for this woman that You would do a work in her life, in her heart that she might see Your Will and discern your direction for her and her purpose and mission in Government. May she open her heart and mind to see You and Your guidance and not be prey to the whims and weaknesses of society, of harmful, misdirected ideologies and evil influences. and that she will not be stuck in a rote of following the themes and practices of her party themes and schemes. Awaken her to the realities of Constitutional Republic government and how it works for the people ; how it is her duty to understand and uphold those principles. Thank you o' God for hearing the pleas of your people, for your Spirit working among the representatives of the people and for Your blessing over America; do not withdraw it your favor, your guidance, but sweep the nation with Your Spirit. We come to you Father in the Name and by the Power of Jesus Christ.

Lord God, rich in grace and mercy, we ask that You would impart Your Spirit and the mind of Christ to Representative Jan Schakowsky. We pray that her mind and heart would be open to You and to receiving that which You impart to her and that she would steward well that which You give her. We pray that as she allows You to guide her steps, You would also guard her heart. May the plans & work of Representative Schakowsky's mind and hands bear much good fruit as they honor You, Lord and as they serve the best interests of her constituents well. Watch over Ms. Schakowsky and her household. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen

Lord Jesus, Heavenly Father, I lift up Rep. Schakowsky to you and ask that you bless her for the sacrifice she makes in serving the citizens of Illinois and the nation as a whole. Open her heart to hear and respond to the Gospel message if she does not know you. Protect her, her family, and her staff from physical and spiritual harm. Remind her daily of the oath she swore to uphold when she was sworn into her office. Grant her wisdom and discernment regarding the constitution of the United States of America that each decision she is tasked to make would align with your heart and glorify your Son. I ask these things in Jesus' holy name and for the glory of Jesus may it be so. Amen

Lord, I pray for Jan Schakowsky to have a reverential fear of You and to always put You first in all of the important decisions that she makes for this Country! In Jesus' Name, Amen!

We lift our voices in prayer and thanksgiving for Representative Jan Schakowsky. We pray for a revelation of Your Word of Truth and Your values into the heart/spirit of Representative Schakowsky. Enable her to see herself as You see her (Genesis 1:27; Ephesians 2:10), to humble herself before You (Isaiah 66:2), repent of her sins, transgression and iniquities (Psalm 51:17; John 8:3-11), and seek Your forgiveness and the forgiveness of anyone she has sinned against (Matthew 6:14-15; Mark 11;25). If she does not know You as her savior, we pray she would have a saving encounter with You (Ephesians 1: 17-23). We pray that Jan Schakowsky be convicted to seek Your wisdom, knowledge, understanding (Isaiah 11:2) and Your will as she serves the people of Illinois and fulfills her duties and responsibilities in the House of Representatives.
